4 page 4 Last Month s Crossword Answers Our summer is off to a very toasty start. Death Valley temperatures have been mentioned! The Diaconate has scheduled its Rummage Sale dates Friday and Saturday, July 7 & 8. Please bring clean, gently used items to church or call for a pickup at We re accepting clothes, household items, tools, craft items, books, bedding, and toys and baby items. We are not accepting old TV s, computers, printers, or old electronics and recommend other disposal methods. The 2 nd Sunday luncheon will be our ice cream social after church. Enjoy a cool sundae with toppings galore. The Mission for July will be America for Christ and please see the article on page 7 for their focus this year. The Diaconate and Trustees will not meet in July so we ll start planning for fall in August. However, the Finance Committee will meet to review budget projections and make adjustments as needed. We continue to have guests throughout the summer and it s always a pleasure to visit with families passing through and families of church members visiting. God doesn t take the summer off and worship and giving thanks is an obligation we all have. Members are encouraged to bring food donations for Heart, Love, and Soul with a mind toward kids home from school. Suggestions are canned or dried items that have an appeal to our younger citizens. Don t forget to collect those soaps, shampoos, and conditioners from hotels and the like as you travel for the choice shelves at the mission.
