The meet will be honoring the team s four seniors Krystine Jacobsen, Maddie Krentz, Molly McFarland and Marissa Wossner in what will be their final home meet of the regular season. TICKETS AND PROMOTIONS Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for juniors and seniors. The night will also be a black out meet, as fans are encouraged to wear black and join the team who will be wearing their black leotards. Glow sticks, schedule posters and pocket schedules will be available to fans at the marketing table in lobby two. THE LAST ONE STANDING With No. 19 Minnesota losing last week to Denver, the Broncos are now the only undefeated women s gymnastics team out of the 82 that occupy Divisions I, II and III. Boise State has logged victories over opponents from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (4), the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference (4) and the Big Ten (2). (MT) // TACO BELL ARENA No. 12 RANKING Despite their highest score of the season, Boise State dropped a spot in the Road To Nationals rankings to No. 12. The Broncos have an RQS of and have scored over a 196 in seven-straight meets. SERIES HISTORY The Broncos have a series advantage over Southern Utah, and a series lead over San Jose State. Boise State has already defeated both teams earlier this season, taking down Southern Utah in a dual meet in Cedar City, Utah on Feb. 5, and then San José State a week later on Feb. 12 in San José, Calif. SCOUTING THE THUNDERBIRDS Southern Utah enters the weekend ranked No. 27 in the country with an RQS of The Thunderbirds best event is floor where they have an event RQS of and three different gymnasts have an RQS of over 9.8; Virginia Brownsell (9.820), Mady Blake (9.830) and Stacie (9.840). They have an event RQS of in vault, in uneven bars and in balance beam. SCOUTING THE SPARTANS San José State is ranked No. 46 and has an RQS of Their best event is also floor, where they have an event RQS of Their best gymnast Maddie Herr who has an all-around RQS of leads them in two of the four events. LAST TIME OUT The Broncos took down Michigan State last Sunday afternoon at Taco Bell Arena, giving them their second win of the season over a Big Ten opponent. The is the Broncos highest score of the season and it ties for the 10th-highest score in school history. Boise State s best event, balance beam, produced a season-high that is the fourth-best beam score in school history. The Blue and Orange shared or outright won all four event titles in front the 1,525 fans in Taco Bell Arena, and Shani Remme won the all-around after recording a Remme also won on beam with a season-high and tied for the event title on floor with a 9.875, Maddie Krentz and Mary Frances Bir tied for the win on vault with 9.825s and Krystine Jacobsen was victorious on the uneven bars (9.9) for the seventh time this season. Shani Remme MRGC GYMNAST OF THE WEEK Paige Urquhart was named co-mrgc Specialist of the Week after recording a careerhigh 9.9 on beam. The junior anchored the beam lineup and sealed the best beam performance of the season for the Blue and Orange. the MRGC Preseason Coaches Poll. Southern Utah was picked to finish in second with six points and one first-place vote, and BYU and Utah State tied for third in the poll with five points. RECORD SETTERS IN THE CLASSROOM The team recently finished the fall semester with a 3.81 single-semester GPA, setting the record for the highest singlesemester GPA in school history in the process. The program also has a 3.67 cumulative GPA, which is also the highest cumulative GPA amongst other Boise State teams. BRONCO CAPTAINS Seniors Maddie Krentz and Krystine Jacobsen have been tabbed as team captains for the 2016 season. This will be Krentz second go-around as captain and Jacobsen s first season with the title. JACOBSEN STILL ELITE ON BARS The senior from Virginia Beach, Va., is tied for fourth in the country on the uneven bars with an RQS of Jacobsen has won the uneven bars title in seven of eight meets this season. NEWCOMERS, No. 10 RECRUITING CLASS According to CollegeGym- Fans.com, the Broncos two freshmen Sarah Means and Shani Remme gives the Blue and Orange the No. 10 recruiting class in the country. Two accomplished L10s, Means and Remme should be a consistent presence in the Boise State lineup this season MRGC DEFENDING CHAMPIONS, 2016 FAVORITES The Broncos were tabbed as the favorites of the MRGC heading into the 2016 season.
