German Service ~ 9:30am English Service ~ 11:00am PARENTS Colouring/Activity sheet in the foyer for children. Welcome to our Worship Service! "All of you share in God s grace with me Philippians 1:7b 1. Leadership Positions would you serve? We are looking to fill two of our leadership positions Senior Care Ministry Chair and Recording Secretary (for council and membership meetings). Please prayerfully consider these opportunities and contact Cecilia Wiebe. 2. Office Opportunities: Do you enjoy digital media (web, video, pictures)? Are you interested in creative communication? Please contact Leonard to discuss some employment opportunities to serve at King Road Church. 3. Kick-off service: on Sept. 9, we will be having a thank you/commissioning/ kick-off service at 10am, followed by lunch and activities. Mark your calendars! Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the food. Additionally, please bring some food to share based on your last name: Last names beginning with AM please bring a vegetable or fruit platter, N-Z please bring dessert (drop off in the kitchen). Plates, hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and ice cream will be provided. There will be good old fashioned church picnic games for kids after lunch. We will also have a bouncy castle. Stay after lunch! Bring your lawn chairs! 4. King Road golf tournament: Sept. 8 at Cultus Lake Golf Club, ages 16+, $45.00 per person. Register by filling out the form at the info centre the deadline is Sept. 2! Includes a 6:00pm dinner at King Road Church. 5. MB Mission s TREK Program is looking for volunteers who are willing to help provide meals for participants in the program! They would appreciate a commitment to weekly or bi-weekly meals, but would understand if your schedule only allows you to serve in this capacity once or twice in Sept-Oct. They are also looking for volunteers who can donate baked goods or snacks. If you want to help, contact the church office. Partners in the Gospel 6. Come fly with us at the Abbotsford Airport, I mean, come fry with us. The annual MCC Festival for World Relief is coming up quickly Sept. 14 & 15. We need your help in the portzelky booth. Please sign up at the Info Centre. If you have any questions, you can contact Esther Regehr or Erv Wiens. MCC s Pedaling for hope is happening again on Saturday, Sept. 15! Will you join the King Road cycling team? There are 3 route options: 10k, 20k & 50k. Please sign up online (or talk to Leonard). All suggested entry fees have been generously covered, so sign up, spread the news, and support a great cause: food aid for internally displaced and affected Syrians.
