Our Ross Road Community Church family has responded to the Spirit s prompting to offer sufficient hands and feet to the refugee sponsorship project to allow our elders to give the go-ahead to a

There are now volunteer opportunities available for those who would be interested in serving in this area, once a month. For more information, please contact the church office at 604-856-2024.

Our Ross Road Community Church family has responded to the Spirit s prompting to offer sufficient hands and feet to the refugee sponsorship project to allow our elders to give the go-ahead to a special offering on Sunday, April 24. Our minimum goal is $25,000. If the offering exceeds that amount, we expect to be able to sponsor more refugees. We would like to thank Dale and Julie for faithfully ministering to us from behind the scenes. There are now volunteer opportunities available for those who would be interested in serving in this area, once a month. For more information, please contact the church office at The Together event (City Church Worship & Prayer Gathering) at Gateway Church is happening soon in fact, Sunday, April 24. This is an opportunity for the whole city church to come together we re hoping you will join in. There will be a time of music, dance, speaking, and prayer. Two identical services will take place on April 24, 4:30-6:00 pm and 7:00-8:30 pm. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. 4 Alive!: A Living Sacrifice An Amazing Oxymoron Romans 12:1 Darren Petker Big Idea: God s incomparable mercies must inform our whole-being worship. Incomparable Mercy Therefore in view of God s mercy 4

5 Informed this is your true and proper worship. Whole-being Worship to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. For Personal Reflection and Discussion with Friends and Family: If you are honest with yourself, how often does the magnitude of God s mercy enter into your thinking and inform your daily living? How has your understanding of worship been expanded by what you heard today? Whole-being worship recognizes that nearly all of life s activities done in the body, can be done as acts of worship unto God. What area of your life right now could you choose to intentionally repurpose as an act of worship? How would you do it? In Preparation for Next Sunday, April 24, 2016: Read Romans 12:2. In what ways are you tempted to conform to the world around you? How have you been allowing the Spirit to transform you and to renew your mind? Is knowing the will of God important to you? What connection does Paul make between this transformation and the will of God? 5

Please pray for the safety and spiritual growth of four newly baptized believers in Shan State, Myanmar, and for the health and safety of our faithful workers there, Sion and Apem, who have huge vision to reach the Shan.
