4 Schedule 8:30 am Registration for Walk-a-Thon 9:30 am - 10:00 am Registration and Light Breakfast 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Hoxworth Blood Donation Drive (Hoxworth bus -- in parking lot) 11:00 am - 11:30 am St. Jude Hospital Trike-a-Thon 10:00 am - 11:30 am On-site Mitzvah Day Projects Begin 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Free Picnic Lunch Stomp Out Childhood Poverty Join our FIRST Walk-a-Thon 9:00 am - 10:00 am for Childhood Food Solutions! Minimum Donation: $18 donation per person or $36 per family Do you know that $1 donation = 1 meal for a child in Cincinnati? How many meals can our community raise? In Cincinnati, about 22,000 public school low income family students receive free school lunch, but those lunches only account for 178 days a year. Childhood Food Solutions provides food for the other 178 days and provides weekend sacks of food to go home with Cincinnati school children on Fridays. These meals provide 700-1,000 calories a day - a food safety net - for under $1.00 a day.

Age: 10 and up Group size: 10 Project Leader: Nicole & Barbara Forbus Hula Hoops for Hope Decorate Hula Hoops and put a smile on a someone s face. Age: 6 and up Project Leader: Leslie Kreines IHN Set Up Help with the IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network) set-up. Assist in setting up guest spaces. Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati works with families experiencing homelessness to find and retain stable housing and rebuild their lives. Age: 11 and up Group size: 10 Project Leader: Gilda Schwartz Sisterhood s Warm-Up America Project Like to sew and seam? Since October, Sisterhood has been collecting knit or crocheted rectangles that will be sewn together on Mitzvah Day to make afghans to be donated to the Lighthouse Youth Shelter. We need a lot of help (preferably people who can sew a seam by hand). Age: 11 and up Project Leader: Natalie Wolf Kickin' for a Cause* One-day kickball tournament. It's a way for young adults living in Cincinnati to contribute to a worthy cause: to promote awareness and address childhood poverty in Cincinnati which has one of the highest childhood poverty rates in the country. 11:00 am - 4:00 pm *Off site More info and registration at jewishcincinnati.org/kickin Ages: Young Adults Group Size: Unlimited Project Leader: Jeff Blumenthal Make Someone s Day Brighten someone s day by making colorful greeting cards for patients at Jewish Hospital and residents of Cedar Village. Age: 4* and up Project Leader: Datina Juran *Ages 4-8 must have adult supervision. Stapling for Hunger Join Kadima and help prepare bags for the High Holy Day food drive for Project Isaiah and The Cincinnati West End Emergency Center. Age: 11 and up Group size: 20 Project Leader: Brianna Pecsok St. Jude Hospital Trike-a-Thon* Children ride their tricycles and bikes to help St. Jude Hospital continue its mission to find a cure for cancer. Age: 2 to 8 Project Leader: Holly Wolfson *Children are asked to bring bikes, helmets and tzedakah boxes. The money in the tzedakah boxes will be collected and donated to St. Jude s Hospital.

6 Mitzvah Day Projects Carwash for Dragonfly & AIUSY Tikkun Olam Fund Join USY and help wash cars to raise money for The Dragonfly Foundation, in partnership with Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Age: 12 and up Project Leader: Brianna Pecsok Community Sukkah Panel Wear your painting smock and be part of a collaborative art project to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot. We will create a colorful Sukkah Panel on behalf of Adath Israel Congregation, which will be displayed at the Mayerson JCC along with more than 40 other panels created by community organizations. Age: 10 and up Group size: 5 Project Leader: Mindy Nemoff Cook for Caracole and Halom House Help prepare healthy and delicious meals for AIDS patients (Caracole) and Jewish adults with disabilities (Halom). Age: 12 and up Project Leader: Sisterhood / Debbie Lempert On Sale Proceeds go to the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Cook for a Cause* Make home-cooked meal for the residents of Tender Mercies. Age: 6 and up Group size: 12 Project Leader: Mikey Frank Get Ready for School Give the kids at Santa Maria a head start for school as you fill backpacks with school supplies.
