4 ... ROD E' PH S H 0 L 0 M C H R O N 1 <::: L E II A LETTER FROM MR. JACOB S. MANHEIMER Dear. Congregant: The response thus far to our campaign for funds to complete the sixth and seventh floor addition to our Temple and Temple House building has been most gratifying. I believe we can safely predict that with the support of our members who have not yet contributed in some way to our endeavor, we will raise the necessary funds. All our workers are rendering invaluable service for which we know our congregants a re deeply appreciative. As a great metropolitan congregation we owe a duty to the. community which we serve, a nd our facilities must be expanded in order to meet the demands made upon us. Rodeph Sholom is a great and honored congregation in our city, but its greatness can only fairly be measured by its capacity and willingness to serve a s large a group as possible. It is a distinct privilege for all of us to be members of Rodeph Sholom. Its endeavor to serve an ever larger number of people should meet with the support of one hundred per cent of our membership. We truly hope to b e able to announce that not one member of our congregation has failed to support us, at least to some extent, in our undertaking. Sincerely, JACOB S. MANHEIMER, President of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. II "STAR OVER SHUSHAN" The soloists at the premiere presentation of "Star Over Shushan", the.
