On July 4 th this year as in years past Carmel Manor will participate in the Fort Thomas parade. Our bus will be decorated in the red, white and blue of our country s flag with staff and residents excited to be part of this tradition. It is our way of being part of our city and community. Armed with over 20,000 pieces of candy for the children who will be lining the streets as well as 100 Carmel Manor Beach Balls to toss to the crowds, we will see smiles and cheers and experience the overall good feeling that accompanies such events. For a brief period, cares will be on hold and the stresses of daily life forgotten as we all live in the moment. There will be Hometown family fun, the joy of togetherness, and celebration of our country and its Independence. INDEPENDENCE DAY In this fast paced world that we live in where everything is immediate and/or imperative, our coming apart for events such as this can be therapeutic. Our activity department does a tremendous job bringing events in to Carmel Manor and setting up events where our residents can go out to participate in the world around them as well. We are grateful for all of their efforts and those of our staff who are happy and eager to help our residents stay connected. God bless them all and God Bless America! On the 4 th of July, Carmel Manor will walk in the Ft. Thomas Parade. We enjoy the time with the community and passing out candy along the way. JBall Bingo will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 2pm, the residents win $5 per game, sponsored by JBall and his group of wonderful volunteers.
