3 CHAPTER 22 AL-HAJJ (78 VERSES) VERSES ب س م الل ه الر ح م ن الر ح يم VERSE 30 ذ ل ك و م ن ي ع ظ م ح ر م ات الل ه ف ه و خ ي ر ل ه ع ن د ر ب ه و أ ح ل ت ل ك م ع ل ي ك م ف اج ت ن ب وا الر ج س م ن ا ل و ث ان و اج ت ن ب وا ق و ل الز ور }30{ ي ت ل ى م ا إ ل ا ل ن ع ا م That; and one who magnifies the Sanctities of Allah, so it would be better for him in the Presence of his Lord. And the cattle are Permissible for you except what is recited to you, therefore keep aside from the uncleanness of the idols and keep aside from the false words [22:30] حممد بن العباس قال: حدثنا حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل العلوي عن عيسى بن داود النجار عن اإلمام موسى عن أبيه جعفر )عليهما السالم( يف قول اهلل تعاىل: و م ن ي ع ظ م ح ر مات الل ه ف ه و خ ي ر ل ه ع ن د ر ب ه. قال:»هي ثالث حرمات واجبة فمن قطع منها حرمة فقد أشرك باهلل: Muhammad Bin Al Abbas, from Muhammad Bin Hamaam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Al Alawy, from Isa Bin Dawood Al Najaar, (It has been narrated) from the Imam Musa asws, from Ja far asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj the Exalted: That (shall be); and one who magnifies the Sanctities of Allah, so it would be better for him in the Presence of his Lord [22:30]. He asws said: These are three Sanctities Obligated, so the one who cuts-off one of these Sanctities, would have associated with Allah azwj. ا لوىل: انتهاك حرمة اهلل يف بيته احلرام و الثانية: تعطيل الكتاب و العمل بغريه و الثالثة: قطيعة ما أوجب اهلل من فرض طاعتنا و مودتنا«. So he asws said: The uncleanness of the idols is the chess, and the false words is the singing. 2 و عنه قال: حدثنا أيب )ر حه اهلل( قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد اهلل عن أ حد بن حممد بن عيسى عن حممد بن ي ي اخلزاز عن حاد بن عثمان عن أيب عبد اهلل )عليه السالم( قال:»سألته عن قول الزور. قال:»منه: قول الرجل للذي يغين: أحسنت«. And from him (Al Sadouq) who said, My father narrated to us, from Sa ad Bin Abdullah, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Khazaz, from Hamad Bin Usman, From Abu Abdullah asws, he (the narrator) said, I asked him asws about the false words [22:30]. He asws said: From it is the word of the man for the one who sings, Excellent! (well-done)! 3 [ الصدوق ] حدثنا أيب )رضي اهلل عنه( قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد اهلل عن حممد بن عبد احلميد عن ابن أيب جنران عن عاصم بن حيد عن أيب حزة الثمايل عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: إن هلل عزوجل حرمات ثالث ليس مثلهن شئ: كتابه وهو نوره وحكمته وبيته الذي جعله للناس قبلة ل يقبل اهلل من أحد وجها إىل غريه وعرتة نبيكم حممد )صلى اهلل عليه وآله(. 5 Being upright for Allah, not associating anything with Him; and one who associates with Allah, so it is as if he has fallen from the sky, and the birds snatch him or is carried off by the wind in a remote place [22:31] حممد بن يعقوب: عن علي بن إبراهيم عن أبيه عن ابن أيب عمري عن ابن أذينة عن زرارة عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم( قال: سألته عن قول اهلل عز و جل: ح ن فاء ل ل ه غ ي ر م ش ر ك ي ب ه قال:»احلنيفية من الفطرة اليت فطر اهلل الناس عليها ل تبديل خللق اهلل قال: فطرهم على املعرفة به«. Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Azina, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws, said, I asked him asws about the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: Being upright for Allah, not associating anything with Him [22:31], he asws said: The uprightness is from the nature upon which Allah azwj Created the people. There is no change in the Creation of Allah azwj. He azwj Natured them upon the recognition of Him azwj by it. 5 عنه عن أبيه عن حممد بن أيب عمري عن عمر بن أذنية قال سألت أبا جعفر )ع( عن قول اهلل: " حنفاء هلل غري مشرك ي به " ما احلنيفية - قال: هي الفطرة اليت فطر الناس عليها فطر اهلل اخللق على معرفته. From him, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Abu Umeyr, from Umar Bin Azina who said, I asked Abu Ja far asws about the Words of Allah azwj : Being upright for Allah, not associating anything with Him [22:31], what is the upright? He asws said: It is the nature which the people have been Natured upon. Allah azwj Natured the creatures upon recognising Him azwj. 6 و عنه: عن أبيه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد اهلل عن إبراهيم بن هاشم و حممد بن احلس ي بن أيب اخلطاب و يعقوب بن يزيد جيعا عن ابن أيب عمري عن ابن أذينة عن زرارة عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم( قال: سألته عن قول اهلل عز و جل: ح ن فاء ل ل ه غ ي ر م ش ر ك ي ب ه و عن احلنيفية. And from him, from his father who said, It was narrated to us by Sa ad Bin Abdullah, from Ibrahim Bin Hashim and Muhammad Bin Al Husayn Bin Abu Al Khatab and Yaqoub bin Yazeed both together, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Azina, from Zurara, From Abu Ja far asws, he (the narrator) said, I asked him asws about the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: Being upright for Allah, not associating anything with Him [22:31], and about the uprightness. قال:»هي الفطرة اليت فطر اهلل الناس عليها ل تبديل خللق اهلل- و قال- فطرهم اهلل على التوحيد«. 5 الكافي. 4 /10 :2 6 Al Mahaasin V 1 Bk 5 H out of 48

6 He asws said: It is the nature which Allah azwj Natured (people) upon it. There is be no Change in the Creation of Allah azwj. And he asws said: Allah azwj Natured them to be upon the Tawheed. 7 VERSE 32 ذ ل ك و م ن ي ع ظ م ش ع ائ ر الل ه ف إ ن ه ا م ن ت ق و ى ال ق ل وب }32{ That; and one who magnifies the rituals of Allah, so it is from the piety of the hearts [22:32] حممد بن العباس قال: حدثنا حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل عن عيسى بن داود قال: حدثنا اإلمام موسى بن جعفر عن أبيه )عليهما السالم( قال: و املنسك هو اإلمام لكل امة بعد نبيها حىت يدركه نيب Muhammad Bin Al Abbas, from Muhammad Bin Hamam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Isa Bin Dawood, (It has been narrated) from the Imam Musa asws Bin Ja far asws, from his asws father asws having said: And the ritual,(المنسك) he asws is the Imam asws for every community after its Prophet as, until a Prophet as comes across him as. 8 احل سن ب ن ع ل ي ع ن ب ع ض ر ج ال ه ع ن أ يب ع ب د الل ه ( عليه السالم ) ق ال إ ن ا ي ك ون ا ل ز اء ع د ة م ن أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن أ ح د ب ن حم م د ع ن أ ع ظ م م ا ي ك ون ق ا ل الل ه ع ز و ج ل و م ن ي ع ظ م م ض اع فا ف يم ا د ون ال ب د ن ة ح ىت ي ب ل غ ال ب د ن ة ف إ ذ ا ب ل غ ال ب د ن ة ف ال ت ض اع ف ل ن ه ش عائ ر الل ه ف إ ن ا م ن ت ق و ى ال ق ل وب. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali, from one of his men, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: But rather, the penalty (during Hajj) happens to double regarding what is besides the camel, until it reaches the camel. So when it reaches the camel, so it does not get multiplied, because it is greatest of what can happen to be. 7 For you there are benefits therein up to a specified term, then their place (of sacrifice) is the Ancient House [22:33] حم م د ب ن ي ي ع ن أ ح د ب ن حم م د ع ن حم م د ب ن إ مس اع يل ع ن حم م د ب ن ال ف ض ي ل ع ن أ يب الص ب اح ال ك ن ا ن ع ن أ يب ع ب د الل ه ( عليه السالم ) يف ق و ل الل ه ع ز و ج ل ل ك م ف يها م ناف ع إ ىل أ ج ل م س م ى ق ال إ ن اح ت اج إ ىل ظ ه ر ه ا ر ك ب ه ا م ن غ ري أ ن ي ع ن ف ع ل ي ه ا و إ ن ك ان ل ا ل ب ح ل ب ه ا ح ال با ل ي ن ه ك ه ا. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl, from Abu Al Sabbah Al Kinany, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: For you there are benefits therein up to a specified term [22:33]. He asws said: If you are needy to its back, ride it from without being harsh upon it; and if it has milk for it, milk it with a milking, not overdoing it. 10 VERSES 34 & 35 و ل ك ل أ م ة ج ع ل ن ا م ن س ك ا ل ي ذ ك ر وا اس م الل ه ع ل ى م ا ر ز ق ه م م ن ب يم ة ا ل ن ع ام و اح د ف ل ه أ س ل م وا و ب ش ر ال م خ ب ت ي }34{ ف إ ل ك م إ ل ه And for every community We Made rituals for them to mention the Name of Allah upon what We Graced them from beasts, the cattle. So your God is One God, therefore to him you should be submitting; and give glad tidings to the humble ones [22:34] ال ذ ين إ ذ ا ذ ك ر الل ه و ج ل ت ق ل وب ه م و الص اب ر ين ع ل ى م ا أ ص اب ه م و ال م ق يم ي الص ال ة و م ا ر ز ق ن اه م ي ن ف ق ون }35{ Those, then Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble; and the patient ones upon what afflicts them; and the pious ones, the establishers of the Salat, and from what We Graced them, they are spending [22:35] حممد بن العباس قال: حدثنا حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل العلوي عن عيسى بن داود قال: قال موسى بن جعفر )عليه السالم(:»سألت أيب عن قول اهلل عز و جل: و ب ش ر ال م خ ب ت ي اآلية قال: نزلت فينا خاصة«. 8 Musa asws Bin Ja far asws said: I asked my asws father asws about the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: and give glad tidings to the humble ones [22:34] the Verse. He asws said: It was Revealed regarding us asws in particular. 11 VERSES 36 & 37 و ال ب د ن ج ع ل ن اه ا ل ك م م ن ش ع ائ ر الل ه ل ك م ف يه ا خ ي ر ف اذ ك ر وا اس م الل ه ع ل ي ه ا ص و اف ف إ ذ ا و ج ب ت ج ن وب ه ا ف ك ل وا م ن ه ا و أ ط ع م وا ال ق ان ع و ال م ع ت ر ك ذ ل ك س خ ر ن اه ا ل ك م ل ع ل ك م ت ش ك ر ون }36{ And (as for) the sacrificial animals, We Made these for you to be from the Rituals of Allah. There is goodness for you in these, therefore mention the Name of Allah over them in rows. So, when they fall down on their sides, then eat from these and feed the contented and the beggar. Like that, We Subject these for you, perhaps you would be thankful [22:36] ل ن ي ن ال الل ه حل وم ه ا و ل د م اؤ ه ا و ل ك ن ي ن ال ه الت ق و ى م ن ك م الل ه ع ل ى م ا ه د اك م و ب ش ر ال م ح س ن ي }37{ ك ذ ل ك س خ ر ه ا ل ك م ل ت ك ب ر وا It will never reach Allah, neither its flesh nor its blood, but the piety from you will reach Him. Like that, We Subjected these for you, for you to exclaim the Greatness of Allah upon what We Guided you, and give glad tidings to the good doers [22:37] أ ب و ع ل ي ا ل ش ع ر ي ع ن حم م د ب ن ع ب د ا ل ب ار ع ن ص ف و ان ب ن ي ي ع ن ع ب د الل ه ب ن س ن ان ع ن أ يب ع ب د الل ه ( عليه السالم ) يف ق و ل الل ه ع ز و ج ل ف اذ ك ر وا اس م الل ه ع ل ي ها ص واف ق ال ذ ل ك ح ي ت ص ف ل لن ح ر ت ر ب ط ي د ي ه ا م ا ب ي اخل ف إ ىل الر ك ب ة و و ج وب ج ن و ب ا إ ذ ا و ق ع ت ع ل ى ا ل ر ض. Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: therefore mention the Name of Allah over them in rows [22:36]. He asws said: That is where they are stood in a row for the sacrifice. You would tie down its hand in what is between the hooves up to the knees. He asws said: When it falls upon the ground, so eat from it, and feed the Contented (needy who do not beg), and the beggar (passing by). ق ال ال ق ان ع ال ذ ي ي ر ض ى ب ا أ ع ط ي ت ه و ل ي س خ ط و ل ي ك ل ح و ل ي ل و ي ش د ق ه غ ض با و ال م ع ت ر ال م ار ب ك ل ت ط ع م ه. He (the narrator) said: ال ق ان ع is the one who is pleased with what he is given and neither gets angry nor frown, nor twists his mouth out of anger; and ال مع ت ر is the one who passes by, so you feed him. 13 ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه و حم م د ب ن إ مس اع يل ع ن ال ف ض ل ب ن ش اذ ان ع ن ص ف و ان ع ن م ع او ي ة ب ن ع م ار ع ن أ يب ع ب د الل ه ( عليه ق ال ال ق ان ع ال ذ ي ي ق ن ع الل ه ع ز و ج ل ف إ ذا و ج ب ت ج ن و ب ا ف ك ل وا م ن ها و أ ط ع م وا ال قان ع و ال م ع ت ر ب ا أ ع ط ي ت ه و السالم ) يف ق و ل ال م ع ت ر ال ذ ي ي ع رت يك و الس ائ ل ال ذ ي ي س أ ل ك يف ي د ي ه و ال ب ائ س ه و ال ف ق ري. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father and Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan, from Muawiya Bin Ammar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws regarding the words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: So when they fall down on their sides, then eat from these and feed the contented and the beggar [22:36]. He asws said: The ال ق ان ع is the one who is contented with whatever you give him; and the ال مع ت ر is the one who passes by, and the beggar who asks you by his hand, and the ال ب ائ س is the poor one. 14 ع د ة م ن أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن س ه ل ب ن ز ي اد ع ن ع ل ي ب ن أ س ب اط ع ن م و ىل ل يب ع ب د الل ه ( عليه السالم ) ق ال ر أ ي ت أ ب ا احل س ن ا ل و ل ( عليه السالم ) د ع ا ب ب د ن ة ف ن ح ر ه ا ف ل م ا ض ر ب ا ل ز ار ون ع ر اق يب ه ا ف و ق ع ت إ ىل ا ل ر ض و ك ش ف وا ش ي ئا ع ن س ن ام ه ا ق ال اق ط ع وا و ك ل وا م ن ه ا و أ ط ع م وا ف إ ن الل ه ع ز و ج ل ي ق ول ف إ ذا و ج ب ت ج ن و ب ا ف ك ل وا م ن ها و أ ط ع م وا. A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ali Bin Asbaat, (It has been narrated) from a slave of Abu Abdullah asws having said, I saw Abu Al- Hassan asws the 1 st calling for his camel, so he sacrificed it. So, when the camelslayers struck its veins, it fell upon the ground, and something from its hump was exposed. 10 و عنه بإسناده: عن موسى بن القاسم عن ابن أيب عمري عن سيف التمار قال: قال أبو عبد اهلل )عليه السالم(:»إن سعد بن عبد امللك قدم حاجا فلقي أيب فقال: إ ن سقت هديا فكيف أصنع فقال له أيب: أطعم أهلك ثلثا و أطعم القانع و املعرت ثلثا و أطعم املساك ي ثلثا. And from him, by his chain from Musa Bin Al Qasim, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Sayf Al Tamaar who said, Abu Abdullah asws said: Sa d Bin Abdul Malik proceeded to Hajj, and he met my asws father asws, and he said, I slayed a sacrificial animal, so how should I deal with it? So my asws father asws said to him: Feed a third to your family, and feed a third to the contented one and to the beggar, and a third to the poor. فقلت: املساك ي هم السؤال فقال: نعم و قال: القانع الذي يقنع مب أرسلت إليه من البضعة فما فوقها و املعرت ينبغي له أكثر من ذلك و هو أغىن من القانع الذي يعرتيك فال يسألك«. I asws said: The poor ones, they are the askers? He asws said: Yes. And he asws said: The contented is the one who is content with whatever is sent to him from the part and what is above it, and the beggar, it is befitting for him more than that, and he is richer than the contented one who sees you but does no ask you. 16 VERSE 38 إ ن الل ه ي د اف ع ع ن ال ذ ين آم ن وا إ ن الل ه ل ي ب ك ل خ و ان ك ف ور }38{ Surely Allah will Defend those who believe. Surely Allah does not Love all treacherous Kafirs [22:38] حممد بن العباس قال: حدثنا حممد بن احلسن بن علي قال: حدثين أيب عن أبيه عن ابن أيب عمري عن منصور بن يونس عن إسحاق بن عمار قال: سألت أبا عبد اهلل )عليه السالم( عن قول اهلل عز و جل: إ ن الل ه ي داف ع ع ن ال ذ ين آم ن وا. قال:»حنن الذين آمنوا و اهلل يدافع عنا ما أذاعت عنا شيعتنا«. 11 يعين إن بعض شيعتهم يذيع عنهم بعض أسرارهم إىل أعدائهم يقصد بذلك أذاهم أو ل يقصد فان اهلل سبحانه يدافع عنهم )إن اهلل ل يبكل خوان - ملودهتم -كفور( بو ليتهم. (Sharaf Al Deen Al Najafy the author) said, It means that some of their asws Shias broadcast some of their asws secrets to their asws enemies, either aiming to hurt them asws or not aiming to hurt them, so Allah azwj, Glorious is He azwj, will Defend them asws, Surely Allah does not Love all treacherous of their asws cordiality - Kafirs [22:38] in their asws Wilayah. 17 VERSES 39 & 40 أ ذ ن ل ل ذ ين ي ق ات ل ون ب أ ن ه م ظ ل م وا و إ ن الل ه ع ل ى ن ص ر ه م ل ق د ير }39{ There is Permission (to fight) for those who are fought against because they are oppressed, and surely Allah is Able upon Helping them [22:39] ال ذ ين أ خ ر ج وا م ن د ي ار ه م ب غ ري ح ق إ ل أ ن ي ق ول وا ر ب ن ا الل ه و ل و ل د ف ع الل ه الن اس ب ع ض ه م ب ب ع ض ل د م ت ص و ام ع و ب ي ع و ص ل و ات و م س اج د ي ذ ك ر ف يه ا اس م الل ه ك ث ري ا و ل ي ن ص ر ن الل ه م ن ي ن ص ر ه إ ن الل ه ل ق و ي ع ز يز }40{ Those who are expelled from their homes without right only because they are saying, Our Lord is Allah. And if Allah does not Repel the people, some of them by the others, the Monasteries and Churches, and Synagogues and Masjid would have been demolished, wherein the Name of Allah is mentioned a lot. Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Ja far Al-Howl, from Sallam Bin Al-Mustaneer, who has reported the following: Abu Ja far asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj Blessed and Exalted: Those who are expelled from their homes without right only because they are saying, Our Lord is Allah [22:40]. Muhammad Bin Al Abbas, from Muhammad Bin Hamam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Al Alawy, from Isa Bin Dawood, (It has been narrated) from Musa asws Bin Ja far asws, from his asws father asws, from his asws grandfather asws having said: This Verse was Revealed regarding the Progeny asws of Muhammad saww in particular - There is Permission (to fight) for those who are fought against because they are oppressed, and surely Allah is Able upon Helping them [22:39] Those who are expelled from their homes without right only because they are saying, Our Lord is Allah [22:40] and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41]. 19 و عنه قال: حدثنا احلس ي بن عامر عن حممد بن عيسى بن عبيد عن صفوان بن ي ي عن حكيم احلناط عن ضريس عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم( قال: مسعته يقول: أ ذ ن ل ل ذ ين ي قات ل ون ب أ ن ه م ظ ل م وا و إ ن الل ه ع لى ن ص ر ه م ل ق د ير قال:»احلسن و احلس ي )عليهما السالم(«. And from him, from Al Husayn Bin Aamir, from Muhammad Bin Isa Bin Ubeyd, from Safwaan Bin Yahya, from Hakeem Al Hanaat, from Zareys, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws, he (the narrator) said, I heard him asws saying: There is Permission (to fight) for those who are fought against because they are oppressed, and surely Allah is Able upon Helping them [22:39], he asws said: Al-Hassan asws and Al-Husayn asws. 20 و عنه قال: حدثنا احلس ي بن أ حد املالكي عن حممد بن عيسى عن يونس عن مثىن احلناط عن عبد اهلل بن عجالن عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم( يف قول اهلل عز و جل: أ ذ ن ل ل ذ ين ي قات ل ون ب أ ن ه م ظ ل م وا و إ ن الل ه ع لى ن ص ر ه م ل ق د ير قال:»هي يف القائم )عليه السالم( و أصحابه«. 13 because they are oppressed, and surely Allah is Able upon Helping them [22:39], he asws said: It is regarding Al-Qaim asws and his asws companions. 21 و عنه قال: حدثنا حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل عن عيسى بن داود النجار قال: حدثنا مو لنا موسى بن جعفر عن أبيه )عليهما السالم( يف قول اهلل تعاىل: ال ذ ين أ خ ر ج وا م ن د يار ه م ب غ ري ح ق. قال:»نزلت فينا خاصة يف أمري املؤمن ي و ذريته )عليهم السالم( و ما ارتكب من أمر فاطمة )عليها السالم(«. And from him, from Muhammad Bin Hamam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Isa Bin Dawood Al Najjar, (It has been narrated) from our Master Musa asws Bin Ja far asws, from his asws father asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj the Exalted: Those who are expelled from their homes without right [22:40]. He asws said: It was Revealed regarding us asws in particular, regarding the matter of Amir-Al-Momineen asws and his asws children asws, and what was perpetrated from the matter of (Syeda) Fatima asws. 22 ث قال علي بن إبراهيم: حدثين أيب عن ابن أيب عمري عن ابن مسكان عن أيب عبد اهلل )عليه السالم( يف قوله: أ ذ ن ل ل ذ ين ي قات ل ون ب أ ن ه م ظ ل م وا و إ ن الل ه ع لى ن ص ر ه م ل ق د ير. قال:»إن العامة يقولون: نزلت يف رسول اهلل )صلى اهلل عليه و آله( ملا أخرجته قريش من مكة و إ نا هو القائم )عليه السالم( إذا خرج يطلب بدم احلس ي )عليه السالم(. Then Ali Bin Ibrahim said, My father narrated to me, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Muskaan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws regarding His azwj Words: There is Permission (to fight) for those who are fought against because they are oppressed, and surely Allah is Able upon Helping them [22:39]. He asws said: The generality of the Muslims are saying, It was Revealed regarding Rasool- Allah saww when he saww was expelled by the Quraysh from Makkah. But rather, it is Al- Qaim asws, when he asws comes out seeking to avenge the blood of Al-Husayn asws. 23 أبو القاسم جعفر بن حممد بن قولويه قال: حدثين أيب )ر حه اهلل( عن سعد بن عبد اهلل عن أ حد ابن حممد بن عيسى عن العباس بن معروف عن صفوان بن ي ي عن حكيم احلناط عن ضريس عن أيب خالد الكابلي عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم( قال: مسعته يقول: أ ذ ن ل ل ذ ين ي قات ل ون ب أ ن ه م ظ ل م وا و إ ن الل ه ع لى ن ص ر ه م ل ق د ير قال: السالم(«.»علي و احلسن و احلس ي )عليهم Abu Al Qasim Ja far Bin Muhammad Bin Qawlawiyah said, My father narrated to me, from Sa ad Bin Abdullah, from Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Abbas Bin Marouf, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Hakeen Al Hanat, from Zarees, from Abu Al Khalid Al Kalby, From Abu Ja far asws, he (the narrator) said, I heard him asws saying: There is Permission (to fight) for those who are fought against because they are تأويل اآليات 16 /338 :1 تأويل اآليات 18 /339 :1 (Extract) تفسير القم ي. 84 :2 13 out of 48

He asws said: Ali asws, and Al-Hassan asws, and Al-Husayn asws. 24 و عن أيب جعفر الباقر )عليه السالم(: ديارهم و أخيفوا«.»أ نا نزلت يف املهاجرين و جرت يف آل حممد )عليهم السالم( الذين اخرجوا من And from Abu Ja far Al-Baqir asws (having said): It was Revealed regarding the Emigrants, and flows regarding the Progeny asws of Muhammad saww, those who were expelled from their homes, and were frightened. 25 و عنه: عن حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل عن عيسى بن داود عن أيب احلسن موسى ابن جعفر عن أبيه )عليهما اس م السالم( يف قوله عز و جل: و ل و ل د ف ع الل ه الن اس ب ع ض ه م ب ب ع ض ل د م ت ص وام ع و ب ي ع و ص ل وات و م ساج د ي ذ ك ر ف يه ا الل ه ك ث ريا قال:»هم ا لئمة ا لعالم و لو ل صربهم و انتظارهم ا لمر أن يأتيهم من اهلل لقتلوا جيعا. قال اهلل عز و جل: و ل ي ن ص ر ن الل ه م ن ي ن ص ر ه إ ن الل ه ل ق و ي ع ز ي ز«. And from him, from Muhammad Bin Hamam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Isa Bin Dawood, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Musa asws Ibn Ja far asws, from his asws father asws regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic: And if Allah does not Repel the people, some of them by the others, the Monasteries and Churches, and Synagogues and Masjid would have been demolished, wherein the Name of Allah is mentioned a lot [22:40], he asws said: They asws are the Imams asws, the Flags. And had it not been for their asws patience, and their asws awaiting the matter (Al- Qaim asws ) that would be coming to them from Allah azwj, all of them asws would have been murdered in their asws entirety. Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Says: And Allah will Help the one who Helps him, surely Allah is Strong, Mighty [22:40]. 26 VERSES ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ ق ام وا الص ال ة و آت و ا الز ك اة و أ م ر وا ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن و ل ل ه ع اق ب ة ا ل م ور }41{ ال م ن ك ر Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil; and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41] و إ ن ي ك ذ ب وك ف ق د ك ذ ب ت ق ب ل ه م ق و م ن وح و ع اد و ث ود }42{ كامل الزيارات: 4 63/ مجمع البيان. 138 :7 تأويل اآليات 20 /340 :1 14 out of 48

15 And if they are belying you, so had belied before them, the people of Noah, and Aad, and Samoud [22:42] And the people of Ibrahim, and the people of Lut [22:43] و ق و م إ ب ر اه يم و ق و م ل وط }43{ و أ ص ح اب م د ي ن }44{ و ك ذ ب م وس ى ف أ م ل ي ت ل ل ك اف ر ين ث أ خ ذ ت ه م ف ك ي ف ك ان ن ك ري And the companions of Madyan, and Musa (too) was belied, but I Respited the Kafirs, then I Seized them, so how (severe) was My Punishment [22:44] حممد بن العباس قال: حدثنا أ حد بن حممد بن سعيد عن أ حد بن احلسن عن أبيه عن حص ي بن خمارق عن اإلمام موسى بن جعفر عن أبيه عن آبائه )عليهم السالم( قال: قوله تعاىل: ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا الص الة و آت و ا ال ز كاة و أ م ر وا ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن ال م ن ك ر قال:»حنن هم«. Muhammad Bin Al Abbas, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Saeed, from Ahmad Bin Al Hassan, from his father, from Haseyn Bin Makhariq, (It has been narrated) from the Imam Musa asws Bin Ja far asws, from his asws father asws from his asws forefathers asws having said: The Words of the Exalted: Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil [22:41], he asws said: We asws are they asws. 27 وقال أيضا: حدثنا أ حد بن حممد عن أ حد بن احلسن [ عن أبيه ] عن حص ي بن خمارق عن عمرو بن ثابت عن أيب عبد اهلل بن احلسن عن امه عن أبيها عن )أبيه( عليه السالم يف قوله عزوجل * )الذين إن مكناهم يف ا لرض أقاموا الصلوة وآتوا الزكوة وأمروا باملعروف و نوا عن املنكر( * قال: هذه نزلت فينا أهل البيت. And he said as well, It was narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin Al Hassan, from his father, from Haseyn Bin Makhariq, from Amro Bin Sabit, From Abu Abdullah son of Al-Hassan asws, from his uncle asws, from his father asws regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic: Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil [22:41], he asws said: This was Revealed regarding us asws, the People asws of the Household تأويل اآليات 22 /342 :1 23 تأويل اآليات / 342 :1 15 out of 48

16 و عنه قال: حدثنا حممد بن مهام عن حممد بن إمساعيل العلوي عن عيسى بن داود عن اإلمام أيب احلسن موسى بن جعفر )عليهما السالم( قال:»كنت عند أيب يوما يف املسجد إذ أتاه رجل فوقف أمامه و قال: يا بن رسول اهلل أعيت علي آية يف كتاب اهلل عز و جل سألت عنها جابر بن يزيد فأرشد ن إليك. And from him, from Muhammad Bin Hamam, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Al Alawy, from Isa Bin Dawood, (It has been narrated) from the Imam Abu Al-Hassan Musa asws Bin Ja far asws having said: I asws was in the presence of my asws father asws in the Masjid one day when a man came up and paused in front of him asws and said, O son asws of Rasool-Allah saww! I am frustrated (at understanding) a Verse in the Book of Allah azwj, so I asked Jabir Bin Yazeed about it, and he guided me to you asws. فقال: و ما هي قال: قوله عز و جل: ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا الص الة و آت و ا الز كاة و أ م ر وا ال م ن ك ر و ل ل ه عاق ب ة ا ل م ور. ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن So he asws said: And what is it? He said, The Words of the Mighty and Majestic: Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil; and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41]. فقال أيب: نعم فينا نزلت و ذلك أن فالنا و فالنا و طائفة معهما- و مساهم- اجتمعوا إىل النيب )صلى اهلل عليه و آله( فقالوا: يا رسول اهلل إىل من يصري هذا ا لمر بعدك فو اهلل لئن صار إىل رجل من أهل بيتك إنا لنخافهم على أنفسنا و لو صار إىل غريهم فلعل غريهم أقرب و أرحم بنا منهم. So my asws father asws said: Yes, it was Revealed regarding us asws. And that was when so and so (Abu Bakr) and so and so (Umar), and there was a group with the two of them and they heard them gathered to the Prophet saww, and they said, O Rasool- Allah saww! To whom will this matter (Caliphate) go to, after you saww? So, by Allah azwj, if it goes to a man from your saww Family asws, we are afraid for ourselves. And if it goes to someone else, then that someone else would be closer and more merciful to us than him asws (Amir Al-Momineen asws ). فغضب رسول اهلل )صلى اهلل عليه و آله( من ذلك غضبا شديدا ث قال: أما و اهلل لو آمنتم باهلل و برسوله ما أبغضتموهم لن بغضهم بغضي و بغضي هو الكفر باهلل ث نعيتم إيل نفسي فو اهلل لئن مكنهم اهلل يف ا لرض ليقيموا الصالة و ليؤتوا الزكاة و ليأمروا باملعروف ل ل كاف ر ين ث أ خ ذ ت ه م ف ك ي ف كان ن ك ري «. و لينهوا عن املنكر عاد و ث ود و ق و م إ ب راه يم و ق و م ل وط و أ ص حاب م د ي ن و ك ذ ب م وسى ف أ م ل ي ت So Rasool-Allah saww was angered from that with an intense anger, then said: But, by Allah azwj, had you all believed in Allah azwj and in His azwj Rasool saww you would not have hated him asws, because hating him asws is to hate me saww, and hating me saww is commission of Kufr with Allah azwj. By Allah azwj! If Allah azwj were to Establish them in the earth, they would establish the Salat, and give the Zakat, and enjoin the good, and forbid the evil. 16 out of 48

17 إ نا يرغم اهلل انوف رجال يبغضو ن و يبغضون أهل بييت و ذرييت فأنزل اهلل عز و جل: ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا الص الة و آت و ا الز كاة و أ م ر وا ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن ال م ن ك ر و ل ل ه عاق ب ة ا ل م ور But rather, Allah azwj has Compelled the noses of those who hate me saww, and hate the People asws of my saww Household, and my saww offspring. Thus, Allah azwj Revealed Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil; and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41]. فأنزل اهلل سبحانه: و إ ن ي ك ذ ب وك ف ق د ك ذ ب ت ق ب ل ه م ق و م ن وح و عاد و ث ود و ق و م إ ب راه يم و م وسى ف أ م ل ي ت ل ل كاف ر ين ث أ خ ذ ت ه م ف ك ي ف كان ن ك ري «. ق و م ل وط و أ ص حاب م د ي ن و ك ذ ب But the people did not accept that, so Allah azwj, Glorious is He azwj, Revealed: And if they are belying you, so had belied before them, the people of Noah, and Aad, and Samoud [22:42] And the people of Ibrahim, and the people of Lut [22:43] And the companions of Madyan, and Musa (too) was belied, but I Respited the Kafirs, then I Seized them, so how (severe) was My Punishment [22:44]. 29 و عنه قال: حدثنا حممد بن احلس ي بن حيد عن جعفر بن عبد اهلل عن كثري بن عياش عن أيب ا لارود عن أيب جعفر )عليه و السالم( يف قول اهلل عز و جل: ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا الص الة و آت و ا الز كاة و أ م ر وا ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن ال م ن ك ر ل ل ه عاق ب ة ا ل م ور. And from him, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn Bin Hameed, from Ja far Bin Abdullah, from Kaseer Bin Ayaash, from Abu Al Jaroud, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws, regarding the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil; and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41]. قال:»هذه اآلية آلل حممد املهدي )عليه السالم( و أصحابه لملكهم اهلل مشارق ا لرض و مغار با و يظهر الدين و لميت اهلل عز و جل به و بأصحابه البدع و الباطل كما أمات السفهة احلق حىت ل يرى أثر من الظلم و يأمرون باملعروف و ينهون عن املنكر و هلل عاقبة ا لمور«. He asws said: This Verse is for the Progeny asws of Muhammad saww, Al-Mahdi asws and his asws companions. Allah azwj would Make them asws rule the east of the earth and its west, and would Manifest the religion. And Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic would Kill by him asws and his asws companions, the innovations, and the falsehood, just as the foolish ones had killed the truth, to the extent that no effects of injustice would be seen: and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil; and to Allah is the end-result of the matters [22:41] تأويل اآليات 24 /342 :1 تأويل اآليات 25 /343 :1 17 out of 48

18 و عنه قال: حدثنا أ حد بن حممد عن أ حد بن احلسن عن أبيه عن حص ي بن خمارق عن عمرو بن ثابت عن عبد اهلل بن احلسن بن احلسن عن امه عن أبيها )عليه السالم( يف قول اهلل عز و جل: ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا ال صالة و آت و ا الز كاة و أ م ر وا ب ال م ع ر وف و ن ه و ا ع ن ال م ن ك ر. قال:»هذه نزلت فينا أهل البيت«. And from him who said, It was narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ahmad Bin al Hassan, from his father, from Haseyn Bin Makharaq, from Amro Bin Sabit, From Abdullah son of Al-Hassan asws, from his uncle asws, from their asws father asws regarding the Words of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic: Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat, and they would enjoin with the good and forbid from the evil [22:41]. He asws said: This was Revealed regarding us asws, the People asws of the Household. 31 علي بن إبراهيم قال: يف رواية أيب ا لارود عن أيب جعفر )عليه السالم(:»ال ذ ين إ ن م ك ن اه م يف ا ل ر ض أ قام وا الص الة و آت و ا الز كاة فهذه آلل حممد )عليهم السالم( إىل آخر اآلية و املهدي و أصحابه )عليه السالم( لملكهم اهلل مشارق ا لرض و مغار با و يظهر الدين و لميت اهلل به و بأصحابه البدع و الباطل كما أمات السفهة احلق حىت ل يرى أثر للظلم و يأمرون باملعروف و ينهون عن املنكر«. Ali Bin Ibrahim said, In a report of Abu Al Jaroud, From Abu Ja far asws (re): Those, if We were to Enable them in the land, they would Establish the Salat and give the Zakat [22:41]: So this is for the Progeny asws up to the end of the Verse, and (for) Al-Mahdi asws and his asws companions. 20 So why do they not travel in the land? It would become for them such hearts they can be understanding with, or ears they can be hearing with. In the book Al Khisaal And Al-Sadiq asws was asked about the Words of Allah azwj the Exalted: So why do they not travel in the land? [22:46]. Follow Rasool-Allah saww and the People asws of his saww Household, and acknowledge whatever has been Revealed from the Presence of Allah azwj, and follow the Ahadeeth of Guidance, for these are the markings of devotion, and be pious! 37 يف التوحيد و اخلصال عن السج اد عليه السالم: ان للعبد أربع اع ي عينان يبصر بما امر دينه و دنياه و عينان يبصر بما امر آخرته فإذا أراد الل ه بعبد خريا فتح له العين ي الل ت ي يف قلبه فأبصر بما الغيب و امر آخرته و إذا أراد الل ه به غري ذلك ترك القلب با فيه. In the (books) Al Tawheed and Al Khisaal From Al-Sajjad asws (Ali asws Bin Al-Husayn asws having said): For the servants there are four eyes. 21 world, and two eyes he can see the matters of his Hereafter with. So, whenever Allah azwj Wants goodness for a servant, He azwj Opens for him the two eyes which are in his heart, and he sees the unseen with these and the matters of his Hereafter. And whenever Allah azwj Wants other than that with him, He azwj Leaves the heart with whatever is in it. 38 و يف الكايف عن الصادق عليه السالم: ا ن ا شيعتنا اصحاب ا لربعة ا لع ي عينان يف الر أس و عينان يف القلب أ ل و إن اخلالئق كل هم كذلك ا ل ان الل ه عز و جل فتح أبصاركم و أعمى أبصارهم. In Al Kafi From Al-Sadiq asws (having said): But rather, our asws Shias are the owners of the four eyes. Two eyes in the head and two eyes in the heart. Indeed! And the people, all of them are like that except that Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Opens their eyes and Blinds their eyes. 39 يف ت ف س ري ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم خ ط ب ة ل ه ص ل ى الل ه ع ل ي ه و آل ه و ف يه ا: و أ ع م ى ال ع م ى الض ال ل ة ب ع د ا ل د ى و ش ر ال ع م ى ع م ى ال ق ل ب. In Tafseer of Ali Bin Ibrahim There is a sermon of his (Rasool-Allah saww ), and in it (he saww said): And the blindness is the blindness of the straying after the Guidance, and the most evil of the blindness is the blindness of the heart. 40 يف ع و ايل الل ئ ايل و ق ال ص ل ى الل ه ع ل ي ه و آل ه : إ ذ ا أ ر اد الل ه ب ع ب د خ ري ا ف ت ح ع ي ين ق ل ب ه ف ي ش اه د ب ا م ا ك ان غ ائ با ع ن ه. In (the book) Al L aaly And he asws said: Whenever Allah azwj Wants goodness with a servant, He azwj Opens the eyes of his heart, so he witnesses by these whatever was hidden from him. 41 السيوطي يف )الدر املنثور(: يرفعه إىل عبد اهلل بن جراد قال: قال رسول اهلل )صلى اهلل عليه و آله(: ليس ا لعمى من يعمى بصره و لكن ا لعمى من تعمى بصريته. 22 VERSE 47 و ي س ت ع ج ل ون ك ب ال ع ذ اب و ل ن ي ل ف الل ه و ع د ه و إ ن ي و م ا ع ن د ر ب ك ك أ ل ف س ن ة م ا ت ع د ون }47{ And they are hastening you with the Punishment (to befall), and Allah will never Break His Promise, and surely a day in the Presence of your Lord is like a thousand years from what you are counting [22:47] حممد بن يعقوب: عن علي بن إبراهيم عن أبيه و علي بن حممد القاسا ن جيعا عن القاسم بن حممد عن سليمان بن داود املنقري عن حفص بن غياث قال: قال أبو عبد اهلل )عليه السالم(:»إذا أراد أحدكم أن ل يسأل ربه شيئا إ ل أعطاه فلييأس من الناس كلهم و ل يكون له رجاء إ ل من عند اهلل جل ذكره فإذا علم اهلل ذلك من قلبه ل يسأله شيئا إ ل أعطاه فحاسبوا أنفسكم قبل أن حتاسبوا عليها فإن للقيامة مخس ي موقفا كل موقف مقداره ألف سنة«ث تال: يف ي و م كان م ق دار ه مخ س ي أ ل ف س ن ة. Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, and Ali Bin Muhammad Al- Qasany, together from Al- Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Suleyman Bin Dawood Al- Munqary, from Hafs Bin Gayas who said: Abu Abdullah asws said: If one of you intends that he should not ask his Lord azwj for something except that he would be Given it, then he should despair from the people, all of them, and not have any hope except from the Presence of Allah azwj. So when Allah azwj Knows that to be in his heart, he would not ask for anything except that He azwj would Give it to him. Repent to Me azwj as there is no grand sin that I azwj do not Forgive it, and I azwj am the Most Merciful of the merciful ones. Work for yourself as in the time allocated from your as term before someone else works for it, and worship Me azwj for a day which will be like a thousand years of your counting, during which I azwj will Reward the good deeds by increasing them, and that the sins would remain with their doers. 23 many a gathering has dispersed and its people being each other s neighbours in the Fire. 44 يف إرشاد املفيد عن الباقر عليه السالم: إذا قام القائم عليه السالم سار اىل الكوفة فهدم فيها أربعة مساجد و ل يبق مسجد على وجه ا لرض له شرف ا ل هدمها و جعلها ج ا و وس ع الطريق ا لعظم و كسر كل جناح خارج يف الطريق و أبطل الكنف و امليازيب اىل الط رقات In (the book) Irshaad of Al Mufeed From Al-Baqir asws (having said): When Al-Qaim asws rises, he asws will go to Al-Kufa and he asws would demolish four Masjids, and there would not remain a Masjid upon the surface of the earth having an elevated place for it, except that he asws would demolish it, and make it to be an expanse of the great road. And he asws would break every wing outside in the road and invalidate the projections (of the building), and the spouts protruding to the roads. كل و ل ترك بدعة ا ل أزا لا و ل سن ة ا ل أقامها و يفتح قسطنطينة و الص ي و جبال الد يلم فيمكث على ذلك س بع سن ي مقدار سنة عشر سن ي من سنينكم هذه ث يفعل الل ه ما يشاء And he asws will not leave any innovation except he asws would remove it, nor any Sunnah except he asws would establish it. And he asws will conquer Constantinople, and China, and the Daylam mountains. So he asws would remain upon that for seven years, the measurement of each year being ten years of your years. This (will happen), then Allah azwj will do whatever He azwj so Desires to. قيل فكيف تطول الس نون قال يأمر الل ه الفلك بالل بوث و قل ة احلركة فتطول ا لي ام لذلك و الس نون It was said, The years would be elongated? He asws said: Allah azwj would Command the orbits with the delaying and scarcity of the movement, thus the days would be prolonged due to that, and (so would) the years. قيل ا ن م يقولون إن الفلك ان تغري فسد قال ذلك قول الز نادقة فام ا املسلمون فال سبيل لم إىل ذلك و قد شق الل ه القمر لنبي ه صل ى الل ه عليه و آله و رد الشمس من قبله ليوشع بن نون و اخرب بطول يوم القيامة و ان هك أ ل ف س ن ة م ا ت ع د و ن. It was said, They (people) are saying that the orbits, if they were to be altered, there would be disintegration. He asws said: That is the world of the atheists. But as for the Muslims, so there is no way for them to that, and Allah azwj has (already) Rent asunder the moon for His azwj Prophet saww, and Returned the sun from before him saww for Yashua Bin Noon as, and has Informed of the length of the Day of Judgment, and it is like a thousand years from what you are counting [22:47] H الكافي. 103 /131 :8 تفسير الصافي ج 3 ص: out of 48
