5 CLICK. LIKE. SHARE. Social Media Ministry Monthly News Jessica Swick (cell) There is something about walking through the aisles of school supplies in the store this time of year. The freshly sharpened pencils, the smell of a new box of crayons, the blank paper ready to be filled with new ideas that bring the feeling of starting over, starting fresh. That new beginning brings to mind all the potential and possibility available with starting again. Each fall, as school-age students and teachers get ready for going back to school, we feel a sense of renewal and starting over in the life of the church year. Ministries are starting up again after a summer of time off for relaxation and renewal with family and friends. They are ready to get started again with the new potential and possibility of the year ahead. Part of a new online series I will be offering starting this fall is a Ministry of the Month Spotlight on our Facebook page and Website. I d like to really introduce St. Paul s to the online community and connect people to ministries of the church that they might not know much about. We are called as one body to serve the church with our gifts and talents, and my hope is to connect people to ministry in the church. I will be asking members about the ministries they serve in and what they like about them, so be ready to tell me all about the ministries you are a part of. I cannot wait to SHARE your story of ministry with others. Have a great month and remember to CLICK, LIKE, and SHARE. ST. PAUL'S THIRD THURSDAY FPU GROUP Next meeting September 20 at 6:30 PM Anyone who has attended Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (or is interested in hearing about the class) is welcome to attend an informal and fun monthly group meeting. These are held every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. The meetings are for those who have attended FPU to share how they are doing with the Baby Steps toward financial peace and for people looking for financial peace in their marriages, family relationships, and for themselves. Attendees learn more about the FPU class and how it can help them make better financial decisions so they can live, and give, like no one else. If anyone is interested in attending a future FPU class at St. Paul's, please send your contact information to Mary Timpany at or mtimpany@timpanylaw.com. For more information about FPU, please go to If you would like to see what other FPU classes are being offered in our area, go to COMING IN JANUARY There will be another Financial Peace University Class by Dave Ramsey offered at St. Paul's on Monday nights 6:30-8:30PM beginning January 14, 2019, that consists of 9 consecutive classes. The class will be led by Mary Timpany and is for anyone who wants to become better at managing their finances. Materials for the class can be purchased at and you can sign up online for the class. Individuals, spouses and families are welcome to attend. You'll have fun and learn how to make good financial decisions at the same time! 5
