Order of Worship April 13, 2014 CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP Hosanna sung by the children of Redeemer When the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were indignant. Do you hear what these children are saying? they asked him. Yes, replied Jesus, have you never read, From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise? Matthew 21:15-16 CALL TO WORSHIP from Luke 9:51; Matthew 21:8; Luke 19:37, 38; Matthew 21:9 LEADER: As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem. As he went along, a very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen, saying: PEOPLE: (with a loud voice) Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! LEADER: And the multitudes that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, PEOPLE: (with a loud voice) Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Pick up a kids activity folder (ages 3-7) on your way into the service. Afterwards return the items to the basket. Just before the sermon, Craig dismisses the children (ages 3-7) for Children s Church where they ll sing songs, receive age-appropriate, Gospelcentered teaching, and make crafts. MAP exists to mentor and disciple the next generation by training and shepherding future church leaders in the Greater London area with an emphasis on those from South Asian cultures. Pray for the kids Leah works with at Soul Club (after-school kids club) every Tuesday. That an hour a week would make an impact on their lives. Pray for the teenage girls at her church whom Leah s trying to build relationships with; she ll be mentoring one this summer through MAP, and she asks for guidance. Pray for the Muslim community in Shepherd s Bush. That she would see the dignity in their culture, and not just oppression and anger. Pray for some real friendships with women in that community.
