St. Therese Parish Choir Choir Rehearsal happens 7pm on Wednesday evenings. There are a few requirements in order to participate in the choir: You must enjoy having fun while learning.

3 St. Therese Parish Choir Choir Rehearsal happens 7pm on Wednesday evenings. There are a few requirements in order to participate in the choir: You must enjoy having fun while learning. You must be open to being moved spiritually in ways you might not expect. Lastly, you must desire to worship the Lord with the gifts He has given you. The following are NOT required: Musical training, the ability to read music, or a degree in music. We are a warm and welcoming group that gathers for prayer, music, and fellowship in and outside of rehearsals. If you have ever considered joining the choir, now is the time. If you have never considered it, pray and reflect on it and push yourself outside your comfort zone and the reward may be great. Adults are encouraged to join this important ministry. Scripture Circle Enjoy the Bible & Live the Words Every Thursday - 12:35 PM in the Conference Room All are invited to join fellow parishioners as we read Scripture passages for the upcoming weekend Masses. After prayer and reading we all join in with our reflections of how these words of God teach us and strengthen us in our faith. We look to the Holy Spirit especially to guide us on our journeys to grow in discipleship following Jesus by living and showing our faith through example. Perhaps the most enjoyable part of these gatherings is in gaining many more insights than we can by ourselves and laughing together about all the irony that God has built into this journey. This Weekend - Second Collection Priests Welfare and Retirement Collection Priests...These are the ones who have baptized our children, married our daughters and sons, given the sacraments to our children, forgiven our sins, challenged us to live the Gospel, been at the bedside of the dying in the middle of the night and are at the altar every Sunday to bring us Jesus. It is an excellent way to honor priests who have inspired you or your family along the way. Thank you for your generosity. Sister Agnes Mueni.spoke at our masses last weekend. She is with Little Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, from Kenya. Sister is a registered nurse working in Nairobi, Kenya, with HIV/AIDS vulnerable children living in the slums. These people need basic food supplies to survive, and the children need an education, for most earn less than a dollar per day. She is most appreciative of those who donated to her cause - and for your prayers. She asked that her address be shared with the parish. God bless you. We will start with music and beverages as the food trucks get ready to sell their delicious foods. The St. Therese Children's Ministry is seeking some items for one of our children's classrooms. If you might like to donate anything from our list (new or used), or if you feel called to build small items or help sew table cloths or other pieces, please contact Megan in the parish office to discuss. We read and discuss scripture, but most of the time spent together consists of open dialogue about how these readings relate to real events in our lives. It is a great way to build both faith and friendship. Regardless of your journey, the time spent together enables all of us to grow. Whether you are sharing your experience or are simply listening - it helps all of us to realize that we are more alike than different; that we all face hills and valleys in life. This is a beautiful way to serve others. We are in need of a leader (or two) to facilitate the program this year. There is very little prep work needed in order to facilitate, as the program has been laid out in a very organized, clear manner. You do not need to be a theologian or religious scholar in order to fulfill this position -- and it is an incredibly fulfilling way to grow your own faith while helping others.
