Thank you for your generosity. Altar Guild We are reforming the Ministry of Altar Guild here at St. Therese Parish. The Altar Guild is devoted to the upkeep of the church and the sanctuary. This ministry will care for the linens, vestments, and the altar. They are also responsible for coordinating the altar cloth with the liturgical calendar. Members will weekly wash and iron linens used, check to see if vestments need cleaning, and perform light cleaning in the church and sanctuary, including wax removal from candle fixtures. Ideally, the Altar Guild members will work in teams so that each team is scheduled only once a month. It s a worthwhile and meaningful fellowship in the service of Our Lord. To volunteer or for questions, please contact Kevin Donnelly, Coordinator of Liturgy and Music at worship@catholicwb.org. Mass Intentions Almost all of the mass intentions for weekend masses in 2018 have been filled. There are, however, daily masses that are open for a mass intention. You can contact the office to sign up for a mass - or go to our website under About Us to request a mass intention electronically. SACRAMENTS Reconciliation: Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM in the Reconciliation Room at the Church, or at other times by appointment. Communal Services are scheduled during Advent and Lent. Eucharistic Adoration: Every Thursday: 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM in the Church. Baptisms: Important information can be found on our website at as to how to get started. Adults interested in becoming Catholic should inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Contact the Parish Office if you have questions. Anointing: Persons concerned about their health are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of the Sick. Marriage: Our wedding guidelines document which contains key information can be found at Couples planning marriage are asked to contact the Parish Office at least 6 months prior to their proposed wedding date. Confirmation: Adults seeking Confirmation should call the Parish Office. Young people are usually confirmed in 10th grade after two years of preparation. In low-income households babies & toddlers often spend the entire day or longer in one single diaper because the family cannot afford to buy an adequate supply of diapers. Infants need 12 diapers a day -- Toddlers up to 8 per day. A healthy change of diapers costs up to $100 per month. Safety net programs such as Food Stamps (SNAP) & WIC do not include diapers. 5 Habitat for Humanity The ecumenical house is making good strides. As you can see, as of last Saturday, the house had over 50% of the vinyl siding installed. On Saturday, April 14, we had 8 workers at the house and now all the siding is up, plus some miscellaneous tasks. And St. Therese volunteers also supplied lunch to those working on the house! Thanks to the volunteers working on the site and all the workers who made a delicious lunch and delivered it and drinks to the house. We at St.Therese only have one more workday, June 2. If you can, drive by the house at 1901 Lingo Street and see what our volunteers have done. Thank you to the workers and thank you to the parishioners who have supported us.
