They were married June 1, 1958 at Christ Lutheran. Last week, the side arrangement of flowers was given to the Glory of God by Duane and Connie Carlow in thanksgiving for 5 years of marriage blessings. Adam and Christine Lehman, Hannah, Noah, Abigail, and Jonah are missionaries in Spain. Christ Lutheran supports the Lehman family each quarter during the year. Pastor Lehman tells us about Passion Week in Spain. "Semana Santa (Holy Week) is a major event in Seville. It features processions of pasos (floats) with sculptures depicting scenes such as the grieving of the Virgin Mary, Christ Carrying His Cross and the Crucifixion. The pasos are processed slowly and reverently through the streets of Seville on the backs of church members, until they reach the cathedral. Each year the city swells with people as they come to watch these processions." Rev. Lehman expresses his joy of Kayla Hoem coming to join the mission team for outreach and bringing her gift of music to the worship service in Seville. The musical comedy titled The Church Basement Ladies is inspired by the humorous book Growing Up Lutheran, by Janet Letnes Martin and Susan Nelson, and is set it the 1950 s. All are welcome to this special event. A freewill offering will be taken at the door, with all proceeds going towards the Mites Goal. If you are not registered for the convention, but would like to join us for supper and / or the entertainment, the cost is $9.95 for a meal. No cost for the entertainment.
