4 announcements COMMUNION SERVICE: Please join us this Wednesday evening at 7 pm in the Sanctuary as Pastor Skip leads us verse by verse through Exodus. This week we will also share Communion in remembrance of Christ s sacrifice for us. SOM INFORMATION NIGHT: The School of Ministry is now accepting applications for the 2011/2012 school year. If you have considered attending, or would like to learn more, please join us for the SOM Information Night on Monday, May 23, at 7 pm in the HUB. No reservations are needed; for more information, please call Laney at x GLOBAL ADVENTURES PRESENTATION: Please join Global Adventures as we welcome missionaries Roger and Kathy Chesebro with a presentation about their ministry in Nairobi, Kenya. Come to room H4 on Wednesday, May 25 at 5pm to encourage them and hear an update about what the Lord is doing through their ministry. RED RIVER BIKE RALLY: Join us as we share the gospel and the love of Christ at the annual Red River Bike Rally this Memorial Day weekend. Outreach activities include concerts with Darrell Mansfield and Steve Stucker s Rally in the Valley bike ride. BAPTISM: If you have made a confession of faith but not a public profession of your decision to follow Jesus, we encourage you to be baptized on Sunday, May 29, at 1 pm in the amphitheater. Please bring a towel and a modest swimsuit. All children who would like to be baptized are required to attend a class in the COVE at 12:45 pm. LIVING BEYOND THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE: This class provides help and prayerful support for those who have experienced the death of a loved one by encouraging them to share their emotions and confront their grief. This eight-week series explores the bereavement process, steps toward healing, and the true nature of our relationship with God. Class is held Thursdays, beginning June 2, at 6:30 pm in rooms M JOB OPPORTUNITY: Applications are being accepted for a full-time Graphic Designer with solid graphic design and concept development skills. This individual will provide ongoing graphic design for Calvary and Connection Communications and must demonstrate a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge). Candidates for this position should have an education in Graphic Design or Advertising/Communication Art, and must have a minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in the field of graphic design. Candidates should have an updated portfolio that shows a wide range of design work (logos, page layout, concept design).
