1 Beautiful Feet Packinghouse Redlands Missions Newsletter March/April 2014 Isaiah 52:7 News From the Price Family, Calvary Chapel Safe Harbor, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Garrie and Jackie Price share how God is working in their fellowship in Cabo San Lucas: We have been blessed by how God has worked changes within us and our marriage; and in the lives of those in the two churches God has allowed us to plant. May we be Spirit led in all we do. May God continue to grow His church and use us in whatever way brings Him the most glory. This year, we had a church pot faith dinner as we celebrated the birth of Christ at Christmas time. First we ate and then we took communion together. I shared the message of the birth of Christ as they followed along verse by verse in their Bibles. Jackie finished the women s study Attributes of a Godly Woman in January, The ladies in the church took a week off, then began a wonderful Kay Arthur study, Being a Disciple; Counting the Cost. The women are participating and sharing more in this study which is a real encouragement for Jackie. About twelve women are participating. Calvary Chapel Napa Pastor Bill Walden has been coming to Mexico for years. We first met Bill when he taught at a conference at the Bible College in Hungary in Bill has taught and facilitated the Inductive Bible Study way of teaching to Mexican church leaders in Vizcaino for years at a conference center that Calvary Chapel Napa helped build. Vizcaino is 45 minutes from Guerro Negro on the Pacific side, at the border of Baja Norte and Baja Sur. Bill put on a Christian Church Leaders Conference in La Paz. It was a time to refresh, be fed the Word and relax for all. Jackie and I saw old friends and made many new friends. We plan to encourage Pastor Eben from Calvary Chapel Los Cabos and other Mexican pastors and church leaders we know to attend next year s conference.

2 Zandra, our most polished translator, plans to leave when the school year ends and move back to Monterrey, Mexico. It all has to do with her husband, Eduardo s, job as a private pilot for a wealthy man in Cabo. We have put this in God s hands. If it is God s will for Zandra and her family to return to Monterrey, may God s will be done. If it is not God s will, we pray God will work it out so they can remain in Cabo San Lucas. New Life Discipleship puts out a course called New Life in Christ in English and in Spanish. The six people in the class understand it and most are not shy about asking questions, which is great. They know when you seek the truth and use the Bible to find it, you get God s answers and not man s. I enjoy teaching this as much as they enjoy taking the course. We have a good group of prayer warriors. We recently started asking different prayer warriors to open the Sunday and Wednesday services in prayer. Please continue to pray for the Prices as they shepherd the church in Cabo San Lucas. Please pray that God would direct them and use them in the lives of all who attend their congregation, and the community around them. The church is in need of a bi-lingual worship leader who is both called and gifted. Also, that the Lord would continue to provide for their needs.

3 Updates From the Field Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 Jeff and Rachel Harry, Intensive Care Ministries, Kosovo Jeff and Rachel share, There is a growing need for discipleship in Malisheve. Over the years, through trial and error and much prayer, we have learned that the type of discipleship that is most effective here in this culture among Kosovar people isn t going to happen at formal meetings in town a few hours a week. Yes, there has always been that faithful few who are able to attend meetings, but 90% of believers cannot attend because they are sorely limited by their finances, lack of transportation, and obligations to family, school, work, etc. But they still have a great desire for fellowship and growth. We call these who are not able to consistently attend weekly meetings in town the scattered believers. The weekly meetings will continue as usual, but we are being led to focus more of our efforts on reaching people where they are, in their homes and with their families. Also to disciple individuals to do the same, to share their faith and encourage others to grow in their faith. We sum it up in our church s mission statement: BESO, BEJE, BEKO, which is translated Believe (on the Lord Jesus), Be (everything He tells us to be, Bless (others by serving, giving and sharing the gospel). Gunther and Jennifer Weber, Germany This January was the annual prayer week of the evangelical alliance in Germany. For the first time there was a meeting at their church. That was a big breakthrough for them as far as being recognized as a real church in their city. It went great and many came to pray. Guenther has been meeting with the head of the alliance in their city and a couple of other pastors in the area for prayer for a few years. Please pray for unity in the church and couples in the body who need healing and restoration. Dan and Ana Jones, Rancho Maranatha, Mexico Dan and Ana share, We have started a Bible study in a community near Mocuzari called Las Casitas. There was a very good response the first week and we are hoping and praying that the study would continue and bear much fruit. Also, a youth Bible study was started and we had about 35 young people come.

4 Mexico Outreach In February of this year a small team of willing workers ministered at Agua Vida, a facility that feeds indigenous Indian children and also holds elementary classes for them. On this outreach they painted some of the buildings, allowing the children to participate. The children did a great job and made less of a mess than the team expected. While the painting was being done, there were also organized games and hot dogs for the kids. One of the ladies on the team shared the wordless book with them. She did it a little differently than the team had seen before. Usually the books are passed out and explained to the children. This time she explained the book but did not pass any out. Then she asked the children if they wanted one. They all did and she made them explain the story before she gave them a book. It was incredible. They must have gone through the story about 50 times! What a great day. Afterwards, they visited the Bufa Dora, a local tourist attraction, and passed out tracts. God truly blessed their efforts. The team had wonderful fellowship, safe travel and good food. If you would like to be a part of the next outreach ministry, the team will be visiting Mexico again from April 25 th through April 27 th.
