1 $*'J'I $J; * n' f\,tirt\'stri*ls Pastors Serving Fcsrors Pastor Bob and Jeanne Claycamp April 2016 Poimen Newsletter I thought I would take a moment and share with you what has been happening with Jeanne and me over the last couple of months. When we think back on all that has happened in us, around us, through us over the last three years in the UK and Europe we are in utter amazement. We know your prayers and financial support have been used by the Lord to enable us not only to be able to minister in this land, but to produce fruit in the lives of so many people. Thank you so much! SEASONS OF MINISTRY We have come to learn even more clearly being here that the length of seasons in ministry are ordered by the Lord. An opporlunity can appear out of nowhere, the logistics just fall into place, the resources 'happen'to come along at just the right time and real fruit gets born. When people ask how did that happen all you can say is that the Lord orchestrated it all. But seasons come and seasons go. This is now the case of our ministry house we rented back in September which is next door to the church. The owner of that house needed to vacate their rental in London, so they have given notice they need to move into their house we rented for ministry. Our charity workers (Molly Kruzel, and Steve and Barb Tessitore) have been housed there over these months, two pastors and their families have transitioned into active ministry through this house (Pastor Sabino and Samantha Medrano who are now ministering in Plymouth, and Pastor Chris and Debbie Ward who are now serving here in Exeter), and several short-term teams from the York and Hungary Bible Colleges have been based here using the house. ln addition to this it has been a regular ministry base for the University students to gather for discipleship and fellowship. So we have sold most of the furnishings and are planning on vacating by the middle of May. One season is coming to a close. But much ministry has taken place through it.

2 EVENTS OVER THE LAST TWO MONTHS We were able to lay hands upon Pastor Sabino Medrano to take the pastorate of Calvary Chapel Plymouth last month. Sabino and his wife Samantha have moved down to Plymouth now and are diving into serving those faithful brethren. This church began almost three years ago as a Bible study outreach of Calvary Chapel Exeter. Pastor Chris Ward and his family have now officially moved to the UK to help in the overall ministry to the Southwest of England. Among Chris' responsibilities are: help in the teaching of Bible studies throughout the Southwest (he will be teaching each Sunday night in May at Calvary Yeovil), and putting together the video interactive school of ministry, getting things ready for the September 2016 launch. We have been praying over this potential ministry since we came to England three years ago. We had a five-person team come from Calvary Chapel Bible College- York last month to help in maintenance and outreach. We shared them with CreationFestUK in Cornwall. Because the ministry house is right on the main

3 road to the city centre, they set up an 'encountering station' just outside the front door of the house to share Christ with any who would listen. I had the opportunity to minister at a church here in Exeter this month. Westgate Christian Fellowship asked if I would teach them from the Word, and they wanted Jeanne to share a life story of faith with them. My study was on Luke 5 and Jeanne's shared the testimony of how the Lord healed our son Jesse from bacterial spinal meningitis when he was only a few weeks old.

4 I had the privilege of being asked to be one of the four teachers at the TEACH THE WORD day in Oxford last weekend. We had over 400 participants and many of the England Calvary Chapels attended the event. The purpose was to present who we are as a collective group of churches, especially to those who are unfamiliar with Calvary Chapel and its history. The four topics for the teachings were taken from Acts 2:4247: THE LEARNING CHURCH (they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' doctine); THE LOVING CHURCH (in fellowshtp); THE WORSHIPPING CHURCH (ln the breaking of bread and in prayers); and THE WITNESSING CHURCH (...praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved). My teaching was on THE WORSHIPPING CHURCH. The UK Calvary Chapels have put together a webpage that is currently being developed: The teachings will be available on that site very soon.

5 YEOVIL, SOMERSET BIBLE STUDY Our outreach ministry in Yeovil, Somerset has been meeting every Sunday night since last May. Matthew and Rachel Fisher, who have been attending Calvary Chapel Exeter over the years, have been overseeing this Bible study. We have had the opportunity to come alongside them and minister to the handful of believers who come together to be encouraged and fed by the Word. Pastor Chris Ward will be going up to Yeovil during the Sundays of May to fill in for Matthew because of health issues that need to be addressed with Matthew. Please pray for Matthew's healing. COMING EVENTS Lord willing, I will be sharing the Word at Calvary Portsmouth next month. Jeanne and I look fonruard to ministering to and encouraging other pastors, their wives and their fellowships as part of our ministry with Poimen. Jeanne and I will be joining a five-day tour to Poland the end of May to see Krakow, Auschwitz, and Birkenouw. I will be teaching a Bible study or two during the tour. June 6-9 is the annual UK Pastors and Leaders Conference in York, England. This is a special time for us to fellowship with our co-laborers here in the UK and to be refreshed and encouraged by the teachings.
