3 Dear Family, We had an amazing year blessed by God. We had 3 major God directed initiatives, Build To Reach, Home Groups, and preparation for Awaken CDMX. This year we are excited to engage in His mission for our church and we believe God will do it again as we live out our faith. No matter how small or big the step of faith God always answers faith with His faithfulness. Of course, the key is prayer. In light of that, we ve provided this 2019 Mission Prayer Guide to lead us individually and as a church to God s throne believing that as we pray, Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, He will do it. Let s go all in this year for what God has for CCLV remembering the words of Jesus, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. 4 Mission 2019 Prayer Guide CHURCH-WIDE 2019 INITIATIVES Build 2 Reach On September 9, 2018 we launched the teaching series, LIVE IT! Faith that Moves Mountains and with it our building campaign, Build 2 Reach. We were encouraged through that study to live out and strengthen our faith. We witnessed 9 God Stories on video that shared how God is at work within the body of Christ here at church. And we were inspired by what happens in the seats of our congregation. On November 18, as a unified church body, we participated in an historic step of faith to pledge what God directed each of us to give for 3 years toward the building fund. In order to build the building we truly need, we need full participation from each of you. Here are specific prayers for Build 2 Reach. PRAY for God s protection, God s provision, and for a faith that moves mountains. for Pastor Derek as he brings forth the message and leads this congregation with vision and purpose to build God s Kingdom. for all pledges made to be faithfully given over the course of the next three years. for discernment and decision making of the leadership team as they plan and design the new sanctuary building. 2

5 Awaken Event 2019 Awaken Mexico City or Despertar CDMX (Ciudad de Mexico) The mission of Awaken Events is to use large scale evangelistic events and humanitarian outreach in urban areas worldwide to unite the church, reach the lost, and equip God s people to fulfill the great commission. The Awaken Event planned for March 9, 2019 is in Mexico City at Palacio de los Deportes. We will be holding a Blessfest event the day prior to meet the physical needs of Mexico City in Jesus name. We pray many will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through Blessfest and CDMX. Dig Deeper Our Sunday night service is an in-depth Bible study that we are calling Dig Deeper. While Sunday morning is a celebration service, Saturday evening a more traditional service, and Wednesday, or Vegas Lights, a service geared more toward our youth, this service is aimed at motivating a deeper look into Scripture. It s also a challenge not only for the body here but we are intentionally reaching out on social media hoping to engage anyone, anywhere in the world with a Q&A session on Facebook Live with Pastor Derek directly after the message. PRAY for the planning, promotion, and execution of the event. That God brings many to fill the stadium and many to make decisions for Christ. for God to open doors for future events making it clear where our next event should take place. for continued spiritual growth for new believers. for continued training for pastors. for our online audience to grow in the Lord and that we are able to reach the lost no matter where they are listening from. for the church to grow and develop a strong foundation for our faith through the messages on Sunday evening. that this motivates a hunger for the study of the Word of God in everyone. 3

6 Mission 2019 Prayer Guide 4 OTHER INITITATIVES Family equipping/training ongoing We all want healthy God glorifying families. This year we will be intentional about learning to develop healthy relationships as singles, married couples, moms, dads and kids. Home Groups ongoing Community is key to making a church strong. Pray that God at least doubles our Home Groups this year. Plug into one if you haven t yet. Church Planting Institute (CPI) ongoing We had over 20 church planters at our international training center in We are praying for the influence of CPI to stretch beyond the borders of Mexico. Vegas Lights ongoing As we encourage the church to plug into a Home Group during the week, we will be reshaping our Wednesday Night Vegas Lights gathering to focus on the High School and College age group. Pray that God reaches these young people throughout our city with His love and gospel. How to Study Your Bible February Dig deeper into the Word yourself by learning how to study your Bible. This short class will teach you the Inductive Study Method and it is guaranteed to change the way you read your Bible. Worship Album April God has blessed our worship team and we re excited to announce the release of our EP. We know you will get radically blessed. Women s Refresh May God has been doing a new and mighty work in the Women s Ministry. We are expecting His Spirit to be poured out on this year s Women s Refresh Conference.

7 Revival Summer Series Summer May, June, August We have been stirred to ask God for revival and in light of that, we will have a 3-part summer series focusing on the Heart, Mind and Soul. Special guests so far are Vince Vitale from RZIM and Shane and Shane. Church Plant Mexico City June Along with the Awaken Crusade in CDMX we will also be planting a church. Pray for David and Sami Hernandez and the team. Church Retreat June Summertime is on its way and we will be having fun in Utah for a few days with cabins, camping, bonfires, worship and the Word. RZIM Reboot September This conference will equip students to defend the faith and reach the lost with the gospel. Missions Conference October We are called to fulfill the Great Commission. Pray that God stirs the church and valley for the gospel and anoints the teachers. Blessfest 2019 November There s no better way to thank God than by helping the hurting among us. Pray that this year s Blessfest is more impactful than anything we ve seen to date. Pipeline June Missions means planting churches. Pray for another crop of church planters and church planting team members as we begin our 16-month program based right here at CCLV. 5

8 Mission 2019 Prayer Guide CCLV MISSIONS CCLV Missions mobilizes Great Commission Christians who reach Las Vegas and impact the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Key components of our program include: planting churches both nationally and internationally, local missions internships, short term missions trips, missions conferences, leadership conferences, Calvary Training Centers, and sending long term missionaries. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest Luke 10:2 PRAY that everyone at CCLV is mobilized to fulfill the Great Commission. for spiritual awakening in Las Vegas and in the areas CCLV has a significant missions footprint. for Awaken CDMX, church plants, the missions conference, and Hope Medical Missions. 6

It can be summed up in these words: bringing the life transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ to Latin America through church planting and Calvary Training Center multiplication for the glory of God. 11 CALVARY TRAINING CENTER MEXICO MISSION Our mission is to provide a dynamic working model and serve as a coordinating point for a network of training centers throughout Mexico and Latin America. Following CTC La Gloria s model, centers in key cities will provide practical training in four complimentary areas of ministry: planting new churches that emphasize the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit (Church Plant International); preparing potential long-term missionaries for service (Internships); coordinating cross-culturally ministry trips (Short-term Teams); and creating on-going discipleship programs for at-risk children in the community (Niños del Rey Kids Clubs). Location: La Gloria, Tijuana Baja California, Mexico. PRAY for God s will to be done in this ministry and in this community. for a new Spirit-filled generation to be raised up and sent out in and to Mexico. for the Gospel to be preached all throughout Mexico. 9

12 Mission 2019 Prayer Guide CHURCH PLANTING 10 The Great Commission is primarily fulfilled through the planting of the local church. At CCLV, missions means planting God glorifying churches. We accomplish this primarily through these programs: Church Planting International, a two-month training at the training center as well as Pipeline, an individualized training program that further equips future church planters with regard to their specific ministry calling. We also offer Internships for those who are called. Our prayer is to see flourishing church planting movements particularly in regions that God is sending us. 15 MISSIONARIES IN THE WORLD Latin America Leona Karni, Peru She is currently hosting teams in Urubamba, an indigenous and rural village in Peru. Leona is also passionate about leading women s fellowships around the region. Pray for God to take care of Leona s house and her health. Roenspie Family, La Gloria Mexico Pastor Jeff currently leads as the director of the CTC base and oversees the mission trips to multiply more training centers. Lila Helps as the ministry coordinator. Pray for God to provide wisdom and direction as they lead the training center. Valdez Family, La Gloria, Mexico Pastor Dan serves as the Operations Pastor and short-term team overseer at the Training Center. Cecilia helps in the ministry and operations. Pray for God s strength as they serve as a family at CTC and assimilate to a new city. The McCracken Family, Oaxaca, Mexico Steve and Tabitha are currently attending language school in Oaxaca to learn Spanish to expand the mission of more training centers around Latin America. Pray for strength and wisdom to learn Spanish and finish language school. Luis Garin, Mazatlan, Mexico He is currently serving in CC Vida Nueva and preparing to launch a church in the City of Mazatlan, Mexico in the fall. Pray God to provide a clear vision as the church plant in Mazatlan is being launched in The Hernandez Family, Mexico City, Mexico He is currently serving at CCLV and preparing to launch a church in Mexcio City, Mexico in the spring. 16 Mission 2019 Prayer Guide 14 Asia Rick and Ollie Pavlat, Philippines The Pavlats have been leading the Balut ministry and serving as National Administrator & regional director for YWAM Philippines National Capital Region. They have a passion for discipling young people in the Philippines. Pray for God s provision and strength as they travel and minister in different areas of the world. Eric Johansens, Thailand The Johansens have a passion for the expansion of the kingdom of God in Thailand. Eric is the pastor of two Thai churches in the towns of Sawankhalok Church and Samruan, in the Sukhothai province.their main works there are to teach the Word of God to His people at these churches, and to share the good news of Jesus to the people of Sukhothai. Pray for God to give wisdom to Eric as he raises leaders in the different areas of Thailand. Africa Rameses Gamboa, Philippines He is currently pastoring Calvary Chapel Baguio in Baguiou City. He has a passion for training disciples through inductive Bible study workshops around the world. Pray God s provision as they launch the new Inductive Bible Seminar and for their radio program. Chris and Tami Harbin, North Africa The Harbins are currently serving in a rural area of North Africa where they teach English and run a language center in town. They have a passion for church planting in North Africa.. Pray for Gods favor as they church plant in North Africa and raise locals to do the work of the ministry. Tiffany McCarrick, North Africa Tiffany is currently serving as the Director of a school academy that educates and equips Tunisian Christian Students. She has a passion for education and discipleship. Pray for God s favor and strength as she disciples many students through education.

17 Jack Wilson, North Africa The Wilson family is currently working with unreached people groups. Their heart is to see the Good News and life changing message of Jesus Christ taken to the people groups and regions of the world that have yet to have the opportunity to hear. They are also investing in young leaders by preparing them to do the work of the ministry in unreached areas. Pray for God s favor and protection as they raise up young local leaders to do the work of the ministry in restricted areas of the world. Michael and Amber Blummer, North Africa The Blummers are currently serving in many capacities. Michael is the director of Marketplace ministries with Pioneers. They have a passion for North Africa and the unreached people groups. Amber currently trains, coaches and mobilizes the new generation to reach the unreached people groups through media. Pray for God to open doors in the restricted areas through media and business. Bailey Carlton, South Africa Bailey is currently serving with an organization called Impact Africa. Through Impact Africa, He serves in partnership with churches and ministries in the local communities of South Africa to preach the gospel, plant churches and disciple many of the youth and adults that live in surrounding areas. Pray for God to open opportunities to minister to more young people in South Africa. Middle East Anthony and Irene Chapman, Israel Anthony and Irene serve in the Middle East through many capacities, they disciple young people to do the work of the ministry locally and they use music as a way to reach the lost in the Middle East. Pray for God to provide a means to do full time ministry in the Middle East. 15
