Is that your FINAL ANSWER?
Lifelines Ask the audience 50/50 Phone Windee World Who Wants To Be A Missionary? Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matt.6:19-21)
Parent Instructions for Who Wants to be a Missionary? Teaching Dear World Changer Parents, Below is a link to the Who Wants to be a Missionary? teaching. There are four parts to the teaching: Part 1 5 Great Missionaries; a synopsis of 5 major missionaries and the movements they inspired based on the THUMB unreached peoples acronym (T=Tribal; H=Hindu; U = Unreligious; M=Muslim; B= Buddhist). Each missionary represents a great effort to reach each of these unreached blocks of THUMB peoples : William Cameron Townsend Tribal; William Carey Hindu; Hudson Taylor Unreligious / Chinese; William Borden Muslim; and Adoniram Judson Buddhist. Part 2 Dr. David Livingstone and his passion to reach Africa with the Gospel by opening up the continent through exploration and commerce Part 3 Amy Carmichael and her compassion for the lost children of India Part 4 Jim and Elisabeth Elliot and their unwavering commitment to bring the Gospel to the savage unreached Auca tribe in Ecuador Each part includes a power point teaching, an informational handout, and a set of Who Wants to be a Missionary? game questions. The power point teaching and handout should be presented first, and students should take time to read over the handout and learn the information. In the game show format we used, participants could use lifelines. As in the game show ( Who Wants to be a Millionaire? ), the participant had 3 lifelines: 50/50 where you may remove 2 incorrect answers; ask the audience, which allows the onlookers to be polled using a show of hands to see what response is most popular; and phone Windee World or Dr. Living Stone, which can be any person you choose to play that role who has access to the correct answers and can help out the participant. You may have to help your child with the questions if they get stuck and provide the lifelines for them. If your child completes all 4 teachings and question sheets correctly, they will earn a World Changer Kids Missionary Candidate certificate! HAVE FUN!!! Let us know how you like it. Teaching
And Question Sheets Hi, World Changers! This is Windee World and Dr. Living Stone with a World Changer Challenge for you! We did many months of teaching on the lives of great missionaries and played a game show called Who Wants to be a Missionary?. If you would like to sit in the hot seat and answer those questions we presented over the teaching, NOW s YOUR CHANCE TO PLAY!! We have put our teaching and handouts on each of four missionary topics on this website as well as question sheets on each of four topics: 1) 5 Great Missionaries (Who Changed the World) 2) Dr. David Livingstone, missionary explorer in Africa 3) Amy Carmichael, protector of children 4) Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, missionaries to unreached tribal people Complete all 4 question sheets, and you can print out a World Changer Kids Missionary Candidate certificate! Be sure to read the Teaching Handout and the Teaching Power Point for each missionary before trying to answer the question sheets. (Ask your parents to help you if you need a lifeline.) The MOST important thing to remember is that Jesus told us to store up treasures in heaven. The best way you can store up treasures in heaven is by being obedient to God and your parents, reading and following God s Word with your life, attending church regularly to hear the Word of God, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with other people all over the world!!! (Keep Reading) LEARN ABOUT THE LIVES OF GREAT MISSIONARIES
Follow the Same ambition as the apostle Paul [ it has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ is not known romans 15:20 ] Find true riches [ the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 ] Live the great commission [ go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation mark 16:15 ] Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
