3 2017 Annual Conference Down to the River to Pray May 22-24, 2017 Chase Center of the Riverfront Wilmington, DE The Conference Office has mailed registration packets to the Pastors, Lay Members, and Reserve Members to Annual Conference. Most information will be available on the Pen-Del website ( Look on the right side of the homepage under Quick Links and click on 2017 Annual Conference. You will see some information is available and more information as it becomes available. You can download and print the information that you need. There will be no discs mailed - the website is the source for obtaining the Annual Conference materials. Mark your calendar - the Salisbury District pre-conference briefing is schedule for May 11 at Bethesda UMC in Salisbury. Pastors - Request for Robes and Stoles The clergy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are in need of robes in good repair and stoles. Please bring any robes and stoles to the Executive Session at Annual Conference and, if able, also provide a small donation to help us in the cost to carry these to Congo. The clergy in the Congo have nothing, receive barely nothing for a salary if they even receive one, and are so dedicated. This kind of gift would be such a lift for them. The robes need to be light weight as you can imagine the heat here doesn t allow us to bring heavy robes as we sometimes wear in the US. But any other style would work. Also soles are needed as well. Requested by Rev. Jonathan Baker, VIM missionary to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

8 THE Marion Charge Invites You The Sta ons of the Cross A Good Friday Observance Friday April 14th 2:00 3:00 pm The Marion Charge will focus on the last day of the life of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We will review the events of that day (Christ s Passion) through reflec ons on 15 Sta ons of the Cross. This special service will end at the me of death of Jesus on the cross. 10 Taylorville UMC Shoe Drive This is what 1250 pairs of shoes look like!! At Taylorville, we have collected 50bags of shoes which means we have reached our halfway mark of 1250 pairs of shoes!!! We have been so blessed with donations from other churches and schools! God is good! We have until April 1st to get 50 more bags which will give us money toward the repair of our foundation. Thanks to everyone who has given us a pair of shoes!!!!! Easter Pies Available at Rockawalkin Rockawalkin's famous apple, cherry, and now blueberry pies will be available for your Easter dinner. Pies may be ordered by calling Tom Field at or ing tfield44@yahoo.com. All pies are $12 and will be ready for pick up on Wednesday April 12 between 12 noon and 5 pm at the Rockawalkin Community Hall located at 6772 Rockawalkin Rd near Hebron.
