2 FAITH STORIES NEEDED The Spiritual Formation Team is seeking Faith Stories of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference for a publication that will be available in June Guidelines: 1 Write your story considering the question How and/or where have you seen God at work this past year in your life; in your family; in your community or neighborhood; in your church or ministry? 2- Length: A paragraph to one (1) page. Be advised that content may be edited for grammar and space. 3 Submit stories in electronic form (preferred), however, we will also accept in written form. Send to Rev. 6 St. Stephen s UMC Celebrating 150th Anniversary St. Stephen s UMC in Delmar celebrated its 150th Anniversary on Labor Day, Sep 4, a wonderful service, food and great fellowship! The new historical marker in front of the church was dedicated as well as their new organ that was previously owned by the late Rev. Dr. Laurence Stookey. Congrats and Best Wishes to All the Folks at St. Stephen s!! Local Pastors, CLM Pastors & Associate Members Bishop Johnson is meeting with Local Pastors, full and part-time, CLM's (appointed) and associate members on September 28th at 10 a.m. (Location to be determined) but it will be in the Dover area. We will be done by noon. This is a great opportunity to meet with the Bishop as she encourages us in ministry! Please make every effort to attend! Any woman who wonders if there are ways to encounter God beyond falling to their knees or clasping hands! It is possible to pray and to hear God through our creative spirits and the work of our hands and hearts! The inspiration for the upcoming event came when a member of Zion United Methodist Church said: God is telling me we need to do something about prayer. We wrestled with what that meant, prayed, and planned for you! And, then came names of gifted women of faith from across the Shore! Come meet European artist and guided meditation leader, Christina Jarmolinski, hear stories from Janet Schultz, learn from passionate Millsboro Labyrinth facilitator Dottie LeCates, savor the notes of gifted musician Brittany Lewis, reflect with faith-filled Christy Frostrom and co-host Carolyn Peterson. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor s Degree in a related field or equivalent in experience. This is a full-time position with benefits. The ideal candidate will be capable of leading our ministries of Christian Education and Chi Rho Youth Fellowship. She or he will also recruit and train volunteers to share these vital ministries.
