3 SPECIAL POCKET HEARING SYSTEMS are available from the ushers for anyone desiring an amplified broadcast of the service. THE NURSERY is not staffed but is available for parents who have young children who become noisy or restless during the service. We are thankful for families who teach their children to worship by bringing them to church. But when the little ones become noisy, feel free to use the narthex or the nursery to settle them down. The service is on closedcircuit TV in both locations. AS A PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP: Read John 20:19-31 in your Bible-of-choice. What peace does Jesus give you through the marks in His body? Pray that He will give you that peace today and all week, and that, as He has marked you as His own, you would have opportunities to demonstrate the mark of His love in remarkable ways. 6 CONFESSION AND ABSOLUTION P: God marked us for life, but we often lose sight of that. We confess that blindness to God. C: Merciful Father, You marked us as Your own by the wounds of Your Son, but we forget Your servant love toward us and doubt Your hand in times of trouble. We wrestle with Your judgments and fail to recognize Your protection. The coupons should be cut leaving a margin without damaging the coupon, and clipped together by month when deposited in the box. Old postcards and cancelled postage stamps are also collected, leaving a ¼ margin around the stamp to avoid damage. Campbell s soup labels and Box Tops and labels for education are also needed. THE COUPON GROUP will meet Wednesday, June 17 at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Room. THE ORGAN IN THE CHAPEL NEEDS A NEW HOME. If you would like to have it, please call the church office at SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS are now available on the Welcome Center in the Narthex. Sunday school starts Sunday, September 13. 9 THE SAINT JAMES LADIES GUILD will again sponsor the Toy Project at Christmas holiday time and invite the congregation to participate. Sometimes sales can be found over the summer. Toys will be distributed to Joseph s Coat and Neighbors, Inc. after the December meeting. Neighbor s, Inc. advises adult gifts are also needed. There is a need for Craft Table items at the time of the December meeting and members are asked to use their talents in making home-made items to fill that need.
