1 Dear Friends in Christ, Pres Clippings We are trying something new this summer! We are trying out the idea of holding Grief Share after worship each Sunday. We hope that this makes Grief Share more available to those who don t drive after dark and to those whose weekday evenings are very busy. Grief Share is a Christian grief recovery support group where people find help and healing for the hurt after the death of a loved one. Some people describe Grief Share as a warm hug in an otherwise cold world. Grief Share is a safe place where people can share their experiences and at the same time, receive help in facing the challenges that arise as people rebuild their lives after the death of a loved one. In addition, people learn both spiritual and practical information that helps people navigate through the journey through grief. There is no one right or wrong way to grieve, nor is there a prescribed timetable. Everyone is different. Yet, people find it helpful to find compassionate, understanding people to talk with. Some folk who participate in Grief Share go through the program more than once, telling us that they find new ideas and helpful thoughts each time they go through the program. Perhaps you are not feeling the need for Grief Share. That s okay. Chances are you know someone who could use Grief Share. Please share information about our summer Grief Share sessions with them: Sundays, beginning June 24, 11am to 12:30 pm at the church. Each session is a self-contained unit so people can join at any time. Please also join me in praying for the participants of Grief Share and for the leaders: Barb Squires, Patricia Kapusta, and Rich Buchheimer.
