Fellowship Hall will burst at the seams With unique crafts dangling from the beams! Our talented crafters work throughout the year To add to the shoppers some holiday cheer! Results from our Harvest make a great gift For relishes, jams, and jellies give all a lift! Our precious little ones to the Kids Corner run, Now moms can shop and have some fun! Shoppers arrive in a super mood, Many immediately dash for the food, Our famous Cookie Walk the Talk of the Town No greater variety will ever b found! Our Bakers do offer so much more - Cakes, cupcakes, squares, fudge galore- The variety of pies is quite the thing, Apple, pumpkin, chocolate etc are fit for a king! Why would shoppers go to a mall When Attic Treasures has it all? Jewelry, toys, games, novelties, linens and more It s just like visiting the Dollar Store! Do you have a special item or service to share? The Silent Auction is always a hit at the fair! Theme Baskets! Theme Baskets everywhere! How about creating one for the fair? After you stop, rest your tired feet, Our seasoned chefs have a special treat, The Crunchy Chicken Luncheon and Apple crisp just for you The aroma from the Kitchen rang quite true! Suzanne Santoro heads this Mission Fair, And our Church Family will assist her there! If you have questions or can donate in any way, Please let her know this very day! 4 Second Sunday Social Page Second Sunday Social for November is moving to the th Sunday of November! Due to the fair on November 11, we have elected to have our Second Sunday Social on November 26. We have several folks lined up to bring ham, turkey, egg salad, etc. and rolls so if you are NOT bringing that, please bring a crock pot of SOUP to share! We will be decorating the church for the Advent season as well on that day as well. It should be a wonderful day of sharing a meal and preparing our beautiful sanctuary for Christmas! Blackstone Valley Emergency Center The KMHMC appreciates your support of the fair and hopes to see everyone of you there! People of all ages working together makes hard work light as a feather! Raising money for Missions is what it s about, To God Be the Glory is our joyous shout! The shelter is planning to open on November 1st but volunteers are needed! There are currently about 60 from last year but they are really in need of people willing to do the second (11-3) and third (3-7) shifts. If they get enough people to volunteer they could be open every night during the Winter which would be great for those in need! Thanksgiving Sunday Volunteers are needed to staff the shelter in four hour shifts throughout the night. Volunteers must be 18+ to apply and both men and women are needed! Members of our congregation will be sharing stories of gratitude from this past year and we each will have the opportunity to give thanks by adding our own gifts to the Blessings Tree. You don't want to miss it! Reminder to please visit home bound members and those in nursing homes and/or send them a card to let them know they are thought of. Contact any Deacon for names and addresses. Send Tanya Morin your child s college address so they won t miss out on getting their care package during mid-terms.

You can now SIGNUP to serve by writing your name on the schedule in the Gathering Place, or by contacting the Church Office. Signup alone or with a friend, and please plan on bringing one or two goodies to share. Thank you! NAC Thanksgiving Eve Service Will be Wednesday, November 22 at the Pleasant St. Church at 7:00 pm Speaker: Rev. Joel Vande Werken, pastor of Fairlawn Church. Please bring canned or boxed food items for the NAC Food Pantry. An offering will be taken for the NAC Food Pantry. Women s Book Club Women s Book Club for November will be Friday, November 17th at 6:30 pm. Empire s End by Jerry Jenkins Get acquainted with the fiery, devout Jewish scholar who became the most famous church leader in history! Jenkins's dramatic retelling of the apostle Paul's life springs off the pages in living color. You'll be captivated by his imagining of Paul's "thorn in the flesh," the impact of his ministry on the Roman Empire, and more. Mission Committee News! The Mission and Outreach Committee is planning a church wide trip to Heifer Farm in Rutland on Sunday, December 10. We will leave directly after church. All families are invited to attend. We will tour the farm and see all of the barnyard animals (chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, pigs and cows), take a hayride, meet Santa, get your picture taken with a goat, sip on hot cocoa, shop the Fair Trade market, do an international craft or two. Admission is a can of food for the Worcester County Food Bank. Talk to Chris Matchett or Gaye Shannon for more information.

6 Page 6 The Blackstone Valley Community Chorus will be performing the Messiah on December 1st at 7PM Valley Chapel 1 Hunter Road Uxbridge, MA. All are invited. Session Update Dear friends, Page 6 November brings the holiday season rushing into our lives and seems to come faster every year. This November things are different and the same. We are excited and looking forward to the Fall Fair, Thanksgiving, and all of the activities in church and our community. Plans are in place for more churches offering overnight shelter and the leadership team in busy raising funds for Peace of Bread and looking for new ways to serve and spread the Good News of the Gospel. Session will begin the interview process to hopefully have a candidate as a Temporary Pastor very soon. Then we can begin looking to the future and the next pastor to be called. There is much to done in the meantime. The Fall cleanup, Sunday School, Bible Study and plans for Advent are all under way. We hope you are enjoying the beautiful music from the choir and the preaching from so many gifted people each and every Sunday. The Church is Alive and in Christ, praise God! Yet things are different aren't they and always changing? We have said good bye to loved ones, moved to new homes, retired, gotten laid off from jobs we enjoyed and people we love have gotten sick. Praise God people have been healed and outlooks are better than they were just a short time ago. By the time you read this your session will have met for prayer and lifted all of you up to God. How good is it to know that you, yes you, are being prayed for and we know that God hears us. What follows is a short dialog with a blank space at the end. We hope that you will take a minute and write your own conclusion to it and then post it on your refrigerator to be with you for as long as you wish. May it be a blessing to you as we give thanks to God each and every day. Peace and Joy to you. Dear God, we come to you in a prayer of thanksgiving for all your many blessings. God, I hear you and love it when you come to me to share your joy. Oh Lord, why does it seem that so many things make me worry and hurt and grieve? God, I hear you and want you to draw closer to me and share your burdens with me. Jesus, you came to earth in human form, but that was so long ago. When will you come again? God, That is not for you to worry about, have faith and Love Me and love your neighbor as yourself. Church Clean Up Day! God, I know and yes you are forgiven; your debt has been paid in full. I did it because I love you and want you with me in the Kingdom. God, what do you want me to do now? God, take a minute and sit in a quiet place and let the Holy Spirit come and fill you with My Peace and My Joy; then write down all your blessings and worries. God, where should we do that? God, Take the time soon, time is short. Write those things below and I will carry those burdens for you and we can celebrate the joys together. With Love I am here if you need me God, I am thankful for... God, I need your help and I pray for...
