As you know, I am a graduate of Cal, and it was at Newman Hall that I discovered the richness of the Catholic faith and my own vocation for the priesthood. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the Paulist Fathers thought I would be a good candidate to serve the university parish community in Berkeley. I have appreciated and am truly grateful for my time at St. Paul the Apostle. Everyone knows that a priest keeps a soft spot in his heart for his first assignment, and I am definitely no different. You have been a tremendous part of my priestly journey, helping me to be the priest and person that I am today. I have loved serving you the past three years and will always be thankful for welcoming me into this wonderful community as a newly ordained baby priest. I am certain that we will be seeing one another in the years to come; and if you are ever near or in Berkeley, know that you are always welcome at Newman Hall Holy Spirit Parish. Young Married During Lent we are encouraged to give something up, but doing something to better ourselves or our community is also a great focus. The weekend of March15/16 the parish priests will be at the Religious Education Congress in Anaheim.
