April 1 st is Resurrection Sunday, celebrated in worship at both 8:30am and 10:45am. We are also gathering in Leah s Room for a combined family Sunday School hour featuring special activities for all the children. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt, Bible Story Books and a craft for all the kids, and share some songs celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus together along with food and fellowship time! The Sundays following continue to celebrate the resurrection appearances and teachings of our risen Lord Jesus in worship and will lead us up to our plans for Spring Revival here at Faith Alive Church. Pastor Ken Deusa will be our special guest speaker for Revival Worship times held each starting on Sunday May 6 th and continuing through Wed. May 9 th in our Sanctuary. We are inviting all of you to put this on your calendar and plan to come join us for this special time to worship all together and seek the Lord s presence and power through Praise, Prayer, and the Proclamation of His Holy Word! I also encourage each of you to start praying this month for God to pour out His own Holy Spirit on us each time we gather in the name of Jesus and pray for His fresh touch upon each of us and over our Church as a whole! In addition, would you please pray about the people that God would have you invite, encourage, and engage to join us for these special services this Spring? Every time God moves in the world to draw people closer into His will, He calls each and every Christian believer to be obedient to His Word the Bible, actively involved in His purposes, and deeply engaged in prayer and praise together. When we say yes to the Lord, He promises to be present with us through His Holy Spirit and provide the very same Resurrection Power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead to revive and raise us up as well! If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you! [Romans 8:11] We hope you can join us and invite people of all ages to come along and share the joys of this amazing and powerful gift of everlasting resurrection love through our Risen Lord Jesus, here each Sunday and with us for the nights of Spring Revival! All women of our church are welcome to attend. Lobster Bisque by Peter George Herzog Ingredients: FMI contact Rose Tbsp. Butter 1/4 cup chopped fresh mushrooms 2 Tbsp. chopped onions 2 Tbsp. chopped carrots 2 Tbsp. chopped celery oz chicken broth 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 1-1/2 cups half & half 1/2 cup white wine 1/2 lb. lobster Directions: Melt butter on Med/Low heat, add mushrooms, onions, celery and carrots. Cook and stir until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, salt and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil about 10 minutes. Pour vegetables and broth mixture into a blender and add 1/4 of the lobster meat, cover and blend until smooth. Return to sauce pan and stir in half & half, white wine and the rest of the lobster meat. (low heat) Note: You can also use 6 oz each of minced & chunked lobster flavored fish.
