N E T To contact us: Phone: Pastor s fapastor@ptd.net Church Administrator s faadmin@ptd.net O U R I D E N T I T Y Faith Alive Church.. Growing Up, Growing Together, Going Out, In Jesus Name! Advent is upon us and Christmas is coming! We pause our study in the book of Acts [to return in the new year] as we celebrate the four Sundays of Advent and share together in The Christmas Experience [by Pastor Kyle Idleman]. I will be sharing Bible 8:30am & 10:45am each Sunday that connect with Kyle s Bible Study and DVD movie segments from the original Christmas story and characters! You can enjoy the video segments and share in the Bible Study by coming to a group on Sunday mornings [9:45am in Room #113], Tues. evenings [7:00pm in Leah s Room], or Wed. evenings [7:00pm in our Sanctuary] all this month! We ll also sing some Christmas carols and share prayer time together to help us prepare for our celebration of Christ s birth. We are projecting the full theatrical Movie version [80 minutes] of The Christmas Experience on two different evenings: Sat. 6:30pm and Sun. 6:30pm [both in Leah s Room]. We will provide popcorn and drinks with this free movie and ask that you bring a snack to share, if you wish. Don t forget our annual Christmas Cantata. This year our Church Choir presents: Invitation to a Miracle at two times: Sat. 6pm and Sun. 3pm here in our Sanctuary. Also, our Christmas Glow Night for Kids/Youth to share together will be held Sat. 5:30-6:30pm starting with pizza downstairs followed by glow games and fun, and concluding with glow worship and Christmas Carols in the Sanctuary. Our Youth will help the Kids [age 4-12] enjoy the hour and any adults/parents/grandparents who want to come & help, are most welcome to stay. Afterwards, the Youth Group has their Christmas Party downstairs and we will show the Christmas Experience Movie 6:30pm. Please sign up in our Church lobby so we have enough pizza and glow items for all to enjoy! This year we will again offer two Christmas Eve Candlelight worship times for you to attend and invite others: 5:30pm [with our Choir] and 7:30pm [with our Praise Band] here in our Sanctuary on Mon. 12/24/18. All these plans are to help you apply the truth of Scripture to your Traditions, your World-view [Reasoning], and your own personal Experiences centered around our Savior Jesus Christ: the original and true meaning of all that we call Christmas! That word means: Celebrate Christ! and we want to do just that, in so many different ways for many people of all ages to personally know the perfect love of God that came down to earth through Jesus His only begotten Son! Finally, please take flyers from the church to share with your family, friends, and neighbors. We also have them in clear plastic bags to hang on doorknobs. Please take a few minutes to read through our whole newsletter and get all the details so you can fully participate this season as part of our Faith Alive Church family. We cherish each and every person of every age and station; and invite you to come share the true meaning and purpose of Christmas here in our Church! Please join us and bring others along! May you have a joyful Christmas celebration and freely share God s good news! In Jesus perfect love [truth and grace] -Pastor Rob Timlin

Proverbs 22:6 [NLT] New Living Translation Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. This year for Christmas giving, think about a new Bible for any of the children in your family. Make sure it is written for their age and their reading level.
