5 Reformation Weekend October Join us for a special Reformation worship. Worship will be led by Pastor Jim Swanson who has promised a ROUSING Reformation sermon! Members are asked to wear RED in honor of the day. Martin Luther, in his Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences, commonly known as the 95 Theses, begins with repentance and ends with tribulation. 1. Our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, when He commands us to repent, intends that our whole lives shall be one of repentance. 95. For it is far better to enter into the kingdom of heaven through much tribulation than to acquire a carnal security by the consolations of a false peace.

10 NEWS COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION We try to squeeze in as much as we can in the Weekly News as seen on the first two pages of this document. The rest goes on our bulletin boards. If you want something put in our Weekly News send me an or put a note in my mail box ( Eric Socin ) in the church library. There are Planning Committee Events Calendar pages on display in the narthex for the months of October, November, December and January. Committee heads, if you have something to add to our Events Calendar or see something that needs correction please send me an or put a note in my mailbox and a corrected calendar will be printed for display the next week. Similar Events Calendar pages are posted on line as well. For Fellowship Hall reservation contact Donora Gard. The latest editions of both our Weekly News and monthly Glad Tidings periodicals are available to view with links on our WEB site s home page. On Thursdays David Adams sends an to address the congregation with what has been a preview of the weekend message and also contains a link to the new edition of the Weekly News. Also attached to the Weekly News posting on line are all the bulletin board postings. Not everything gets included in the Weekly News so some things are only posted on the bulletin boards or there is only brief mention of these news items with instructions to look at the Bulletin Board postings for more information. So there is much more to view on line than can be seen on what is only one sheet of paper distributed at church. The Glad Tidings article submission dead line is the 22nd of each month. For Wed Oct 24 at 10:00 am I am asking volunteers to help fold, label and put stamps on printed copies of the Glad tidings to be put in the mail. I will supply coffee and donuts. Eric Socin
