And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Col 3:16-17 (NKJ) What will you be doing this summer? This question is asked often at the end of an academic year. The companion question is then asked at the beginning of the next academic m year: What did you do this summer? These seemingly irrelevant questions are important for the children of God. How you respond to such questions will identify you as one who knows that God desires to keep you in His care and guard and protect you from the evil one. During this time of year, many will be on holiday or vacation. But none that belong to Christ can afford to be absent from Him and His Word. So continue to: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Many who are vacationing this summer will want to get away from work and business obligations. They will leave their computers at the office and put away their cell phones. They desire to be completely divorced from their daily tasks. While this might be a laudable goal for the overworked business person, it is not an option for the Child of God. For God reminds: whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. So dear redeemed enjoy your vacation from the world but remember whose you are! In His name I remain: Pastor Froh

3 Dear Grace Congregation & School, My most sincere and heartfelt thanks for the wonderful retirement celebration given in my honor on June 13, It will always be a cherished memory. You just can t beat a Lutheran potluck luncheon. What a treat! What delicious food! Many, many thanks to all who made the day special. The music, food, program, and table decorations were all just wonderful and very meaningful and special. I know I would miss someone to mention you all by name, but please know that I appreciate every single thing each of you did, from donations, to planning, to clean-up. The hours spent were very much appreciated. In regard to the gifts, thank you so much for the portable table top easel, brushes, flowers, and generous check I treasure them all, immensely.
