From the Pastor's Desk Spring is here and I love it! With all the inconsistent weather, the threat of storms, all the stuff blowing in the wind, most to which I am allergic, it s still my favorite season of the four. The first beautiful day drove me to Calloways as it does every year, to check out the flowers, shrubs, and herbs. I have an interest in the herbs like rosemary, orange fizz, and lavender, which smell good to us and drive mosquitoes away from our patio. I easily spend hours admiring the intricate blooms of the plants. It always makes me thankful for the majesty of God s creation and the vast selection of His mind. The beauty and splendor of Spring and flowers repeatedly takes my attention to Psalm 139, another favorite. God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I m an open book to you; even from a distance you know what I m thinking. - The Message O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit and when I stand. When far away you know my every thought. - Living Bible Seems as if God strolls through the garden of His creation (mankind) and looks to admire the intricate work called me. Then there is Psalm 8, still another favorite, and see creation at another angle; I look up at your macro skies, dark and enormous, your handmade sky-jewelry, Moon and stars mounted in their settings. Then I look at my micro-self and wonder Why do you bother with us? - The Message Why take a second look our way? I think of what shows as God looks and hang my head until I think that your look my way is tinted with love and grace. Then I conclude with the Psalmist, God, brilliant Lord, your name echoes around the world. - The Message It s always Spring to you. Bro. Bobby

4 2018 Summer Camp Dates: June Location: Austin University (Sherman, TX) Cost: $ Deposit: $60 due ASAP Speaker: Andrew Aurthur Band: Logan Walter In addition to five days of worship, teaching, and Bible study, Student Life Rec Camp will get you messy, wet and all kinds of dirty with their team-building recreation. It will bind our group together so we'll go home as a family. If you are in need of a scholarship please come and talk with our Student Pastor, Marthen. LG Sunday 9:30 AM for Life Groups in the Youth House. This is where all 7th - 12th Graders meet for Bible Study Fellowship on Sunday mornings. Come join us as we learn from the Word of God together.
