1 The Wesley Connector JANUARY 16, is over and 2019 has sped in fast and hasn t slowed down! I have a few different items to share this week. We had over 90 people take time to participate in the survey for our Preliminary Case statement last month for the upcoming Debt Reduction Campaign. Thank You all for investing in our church s future by giving thoughtful and insightful information. The Wesley Administrative Board will be reviewing the survey this week and I am sure will find it equally helpful. My first glance showed that 93% of you are satisfied or very satisfied with the direction of the church. You shared encouragement for leaders to continue decision making which will help people connect to Jesus Christ at Wesleysummed up in one word: GROWTH. An example of suggested improvements is to help people stay better informed of the financial status and health of the church. People clearly want debt reduction with a few capital improvements made from the proceeds of this debt reduction campaign. Look for more feedback in the future. Please be in prayer for God to guide and provide. I mainly want to say Thank You for taking the time and know we are listening. The Yost Post A huge Thank You to everyone who made Christmas amazing this year! Glory to God in the Highest indeed. The Choir s Cantata and singing Christmas Eve proclaimed Christ, the Wesley Vibes (handbell choir) created memories which will last a lifetime and the outstanding Ushers and Greeters who went above and beyond to be gracious and generous hosts. Our weekly attendance for the 23 rd and 24 th was 951! Wow! I cannot say enough about our outreach this Advent. The Christmas Market and family movie night was amazing. Our staff and volunteers created a place and space for people with and without a church home to experience God s Grace this year. What an honor to serve with you! One final note, please continue to pray for Jordan, Sharon, and Leah Cramer as they say goodbye to their current church home and prepare to become a part of the Wesley Church family.

3 WESLEY YOUTH CONNECTIONS Happy new year friends! I agree with what Pastor Chris said, 2019 has sped in and things are rocking! 2018 was an amazing year for our youth and this year will be amazing also! Over Christmas break, the youth and the their skills from our mission trips, decided to give our stage upstairs a new look. They created an amazing colorful backdrop that POPS when you see it. For a better mental visual, think Chip Gaines Shiplap in color! Our youth are so talented and their creativity to make the space theirs is inspiring. Come up and check it out. In addition to that, we have some pretty awesome events coming up to grow the faith and friendships of our youth. This Saturday, January 19th, we will represent Wesley UMC in the Greenville Martin Luther King Jr. parade. After the parade, we will feed the many participants who walked with us. We are proud to be part of this and it is our tenth year being involved. The parade starts at 10am and begins from Market Square in Downtown Greenville. Come on out! The Cowboys didn t make it to the Superbowl, but that isn t stopping us from having a Superbowl party. We are heading to Pinstack in McKinney. There we will have bowling, arcade, high ropes, bumper cars and rock climbing. Of course they ll have the game on all over the place with unlimited Pizza and Cheese sticks included.
