2 Men s Walk #90 "Heal me, O Lord and I will be healed; save me O Lord and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jeremiah 17:14 Men s Team #90 completed their meetings on 2/20 and we are now looking forward to be used by Trinity to bring glory to God. We have prayed, laughed, sung, worshipped, planned and taken part in the Lord s Supper. We are Christian Brothers who have been bonded together in obedience to the Spirit. We are TEAM. A living Testimony to what he has done, is doing and will do in our lives. Evangelical because we desire to spread the Great News of his overflowing love, omnipresent truth and amazing grace. Amen because even though the world the flesh and the devil temps us we know we must submit to the will of God in our lives. Finally, we are Men - humble, sacrificial, obedient and loving. Jerry Killian LL, Mike McClintock Assistant LL and Men s Team #90 Women s Walk #90 " And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love." 1Corinthians13:13 Hello Fourth Day, Team #90 has been praying and preparing for the 30 women taking walk 90. Both talk preview days went well. God has demonstrated his wisdom and by providing the right team member for every position. We ask for continued prayers as the pilgrims prepare to take the walk and for the team as we continue to prepare as well. We thank you for all of your support and prayers. Blessings, Sue Ward, Denise Sprout and Team #90 What does the EOEE Walk Committee do? For the Walk Committee, the weekend starts at Camp Wanake on Wednesday. We are responsible for getting the camp ready for the pilgrims and team. This includes getting the conference room at Savage Retreat Center ready by hanging up banners, setting up chairs, tables, and the speaker podium. Next on to Moody Retreat Center to set up the mail boxes and supplies for the Agape room. Finally, we set up the barn for the many weekend activities which includes setting up the chairs and sound system. We also put out all the signs around camp. On Thursday night we are responsible for Sponsors' hour and arranging for the speaker. Saturday night we are responsible for Candlelight which includes arranging for the speakers and music, setting out the luminaries, and setting up the Conference Room for Fireside. On Sunday we get the barn ready for closing. We move the kneelers and cross to the Conference Room for Apostolic Hour, clean up both Moody and Savage Conference rooms, and put away all the supplies. Basically, we do the reverse of Wednesday night. If you desire to join us, please contact one of our members -- Rich Crum, Ted Howenstine or Larry Toalston. Many hands make light work! De Colores, Rich Crum

5 Chrysalis News! June 3-5 boys flight and June girls flight Rich Crum and Lisa Herr are busy forming up teams for the June Chrysalis Flights at CAMP WANAKE! These will be the first flights to be held at Camp Wanake and are a joint effort with Western Reserve Walk to Emmaus and North East Ohio Chrysalis to reach more teens in the East Ohio Walk to Emmaus community. There will be many Western Reserve and Chrysalis 4th day visiting over the Women's Walk. Please remember to make a new face feel welcome! We thought we would help you better understand this effort and the in s and out s of Chrysalis Flights with a little Q and A over the next few months. Q: Why are we joining with Western Reserve instead of starting our own community? A: Western Reserve and NEO Chrysalis have been conducting flights for many years and have a very successful community of fourth day that make it all happen. The biggest obstacle for people in EOEE is that Camp Asbury is too far to travel especially in the winter months. EOEE had two weekends become available when we reduced the number of walks from 6 to 4 each year. There seemed to be an organic opportunity to work in cooperation with a successful community in a closer location. Many of the team members will be from the EOEE community and a number of our traditions will still be evident in the course of the weekend. Q: Who can go on a Flight? A: Any boy or girl who are between age 15 and 18 and are in or beginning their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school. Unlike Walk to Emmaus candidates, these teens do NOT have to have made a commitment to Christ but have demonstrated a serious seeking of God in their lives. The teens MAY be deeply committed to their faith and are demonstrating leadership skills. Just as Walk candidates, it is probably best to not send a teen who has just experienced a trauma or has deep emotional issues. Remember, other than SD s, most of our teams are not staffed with professional counselors. Q: Can my teen still go on a Walk to Emmaus if he/she goes on a flight? A: YES! YES! YES! Actually, Butterflies (a teen who has completed a flight) can experience Walk to Emmaus by going as a pilgrim if they are age 19 or older. Or they can experience Walk to Emmaus by serving on team. Q: What can I do to help until the flight weekends in June? A: #1 PRAY! Pray for the team formations, for Chrysalis age teens to sponsor, for the families of the teens who will be coming. #2 Plan on attending candlelight on June 4 th and 11 th at Camp Wanake. #3 Start making AGAPE for the tables at meal times and as bed Agape. #4 Talk to the youth leaders at your church about having a Chrysalis Information night at a youth group gathering. Rich and Lisa will be glad to come talk to the youth and their parents about what happens during God s weekend.
6 Emmaus Regional Leadership Development Training The Emmaus Regional Leadership Development Training Event has been rescheduled for Friday & Saturday, April 8 & 9, The training event will be held at Medina United Methodist Church, 4747 Foote, Road, Medina, OH The Friday, April 8 training is designed for clergy, and will run from noon to 4:00 p.m. (lunch provided). The Saturday, April 9 training is open to any Fourth Day member who wants to know more about the Walk to Emmaus or has a desire to learn more about how to grow and strengthen our community. Training will run from 8:30 to 5:00 and a continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided. Come join us, meet individuals from the Regional Emmaus Board, and connect with other Fourth Day members from North Central Ohio communities. More detailed information, including registration, to follow. Mark your calendars for April 8 and 9. Hope to see you there! Diane Christie , dlcjmc1979@gmail.com Thank you for loving Jesus through your prayers for His work. Greetings from the Kitchen Teams No time to make or write agape? If you need agape ideas the kitchen teams from men s and women s walk #90 can help. We would appreciate healthy and not so healthy snacks for the weekends. Fruits, veggies, cheese, trail bologna, salsa and chips, hummus, cookies, etc. These are just a few ideas that would really show love to the pilgrims and team. Table agape is welcomed to show the pilgrims agape love. Don t forget another way to help out is to serve meals. There are three meals Friday and Saturday and two on Sunday. We are looking forward to the upcoming weekends and hope you consider helping in some way. Blessings, Tom Raddish & Debbie Houdeshell
9 *** SPONSORS *** The weekends are almost here. Remember how excited, anxious and nervous you were about attending your Walk to Emmaus? Do you remember things your sponsor(s) did or said to ease your anxiety or added to the blessings of your weekend? Isn't it exciting to think you're sponsoring the new Fourth Day and ultimately future sponsors! What can we do to set a good example and continue the legacy of East Ohio Emmanual Emmaus? Here are a few reminders: DURING THE WEEKEND 1. Provide your pilgrim transportation to and from Camp Wanake. 2. Remain with your pilgrim until after dinner on Thursday evening. Bring requested side dish for Thursday evening dinner (don't forget to collect empty containers). 3. Take agape to the Agape Room at Moody Retreat Center and place it in the "Third or Personal" drop box; or bring it to candlelight on Saturday evening and place it in the Agape box at the back of barn chapel. Remember to get a note from the pilgrim's spouse and family. Mark letters/cards from the pilgrim's spouse, family and close friends Personal on the outside of each envelope. Be sure the envelopes have the pilgrim's first and last name. 4. Attend Sponsor s Hour on Thursday evening after dinner; Candlelight on Saturday, and closing on Sunday. Remember, only spouses who have attended the Walk to Emmaus or similar event (Cursillo, Tres Dias, etc.) are to attend candlelight. Children are not permitted to attend any weekend events, but are welcomed to attend the monthly gatherings. 5.
