St. Monica is a great intercessor for parents praying for their children to return to the faith. (I STRONGLY encourage you to read her and St. Augustine s story.) Here is one prayer to her on this topic: "St. Monica, I need your prayers. You know exactly how I'm feeling because you once felt it yourself. I'm hurting, hopeless, and in despair. I desperately want my child to return to Christ in his Church but I can't do it alone. I need God's help. Please join me in begging the Lord's powerful grace to low into my child's life. Ask the Lord Jesus to soften his/her heart, prepare a path for his/her conversion, and activate the Holy Spirit in his/her life. Amen." On that day, the promise you gave of your Spirit was ful illed to the whole world. As these newly con irmed go out into the world preserve the gifts of the Spirit in their hearts. May the completion of their initiation through Con irmation help them ful ill their baptismal promises as members of the Body of Christ. Amen.

3 Women of St. Patrick s Craft Night Tuesday, June 26th at 6:00pm All women of the parish are invited to join the WSP for their craft night in the parish hall. We will be making items to sell at our annual Gingerbread Fair. Crafts and instruction will be provided and no special skills are required. Come help us make our crafts and socialize with us! Summer Bible Study Coming Wednesdays this summer! Join us in reading SAVED: A Bible Study Guide for Catholics by Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. and learn about the Bible! CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER & LECTIO DIVINA Meets the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm downstairs (on the stage). This month on 6/14 and 6/28 you are invited to come and pray in silence while resting in God while he ministers to your heart. The prayer time is followed by a Lectio Divina Scripture re lection. If you are new to either of these contemplative forms of "Listening to God", information/orientation is offered at 6:00 pm prior to the meeting's start. Contact: Al McGunnigle or Rich Stoops. If you or a loved one have a serious illness (physical or mental health), and likely will need the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick soon, DO NOT WAIT! Let Fr. Dawson know soon, so that we can make sure it happens in time for you or your loved one. When you let us know about someone in need of the sacrament, please indicate how urgent the situation is; if they will be able to receive the Eucharist; and if they need additional sacraments such as Baptism or Con irmation. THE NATIVITY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST Pray the Rosary Everything starts from prayer. Please join us and pray the rosary with the residents of Cherry Brook retirement home, every Tuesday at 6PM. NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS President: Vice President: Secretary: Antoine Menoret David Sherman David Humbarger 3RD ANNUAL YOUTH MISSION TRIP Team Boston will be on a week-long mission trip to the city of Boston and Lynn, MA from July We are sending 25 teens and 5 adults, 5 more people then we sent to Niagara Falls last year. EXCITING!! The team has been meeting, preparing and bonding since March and now the trip is less than 4 weeks away. Last year our parish family was incredibly supportive, not only inancially but also with prayers, and words of encouragement. We are asking for your support again this year. HERE S HOW YOU CAN HELP: First and most importantly, pray for our fellow parishioners as they go on mission. Secondly you can make a donation and TAKE STOCK IN OUR YOUTH. All shareholders will receive a certi icate, post card and invitation to our Stock Holder reception, where you will see and hear irsthand from the teens, all about our trip to the Boston area. Also, we will hold a BOTTLE AND CAN DRIVE ON JUNE 23 & 24. Please save any recyclables and bring them down for us to return. Of course, we will be happy to accept any donation of any amount.
