3 Confession of Our Need of Christ and God s Grace *Corporate Confession of Sin Almighty Father, You are the source of every good and perfect gift. We praise Your name for the greatest and most perfect gift: Your son, our Lord Jesus Christ. But in lifting Him up, we humble ourselves before You. We confess to You, not only our sins of omission in failing to do what we know is right, but also our sins of commission in doing what You forbid. O Lord, we are weak and feeble, slow to confess our sins and prone to wander from the path of righteousness. Do not deal with us as our sins deserve but wash us clean in the blood of the Lamb and empower us by Your Spirit to live to honor and serve our Savior King. We praise You that He was born like us that we might become like Him. 10 Betty Brock Memorial Service The memorial service for Mrs. Betty Brock will be Wednesday, November 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Providence Church. Prayer at the Abortion Clinic On Thursday morning November 3rd, the Prayer Group will leave the church at 8:45 a.m. to go to the Abortion Clinic to pray. They would love for you to join them. Lost Dishes Please check the Fellowship Hall today to see if you have some dishes that need to be picked up. We don t have enough room in the kitchen for unclaimed dishes. Fall Back Fellowship The LMT is sponsoring a time of fellowship on Saturday, November 5th at 5:00 p.m. Please bring your own brown bag supper and enjoy some singing, music and the fall evening with family and friends. Fire pits and chairs will be set up in the side parking lot by the playground and ingredients will be provided to make s mores. If you play the guitar, please bring your guitar. Pulled Pork Picnic On Sunday, November 13, you will have the opportunity to picnic Western style in the Fellowship Hall after the morning service. The menu will be pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, and yummy desserts. (Corn dogs for little cowboys and cowgirls.) This is an annual fundraiser to help defray the cost of the musicians for the Candlelight Service. Please join us for this special time of cowboy food around the old church wagon. If you cannot stay, you can still support the choir and purchase meals for your own home on the range. Cost: $7.00 per plate, $25.00 maximum per family. We are asking you to sign up so the seasoned cooks will have enough "grub for everyone. Sign up sheet is on the table in the narthex. Officer Nominations And Training Please continue praying for upcoming Officer nominations and training of Officers to serve Christ as a Ruling Elder or Deacon of Providence PCA. If you have someone in mind to nominate, the nomination forms are in the Narthex. Inquirers Class The Session is planning to offer a quarterly Inquirers Class for any that might like more information about Providence PCA, the Reformed Faith, and particularly for those seeking to join the Church. If you would like to attend an Inquirers Class offered during the Sunday school hour, please drop a note in the offering plate, make a note on the Fellowship Pad, or call the Church office. We are working to get the first class scheduled and knowing you are interested will help us plan.

11 Thank You Sarah and I would like to thank the Providence members for your visits, and the delicious lunch after the funeral. Words cannot express enough thanks for all the church did for us to help us get through this difficult time. We thank you so much.
