A sincere thank to all who contributed including those responding to our request in theses last weeks, in support of church services sponsored by the Diocese of Syracuse, those with outstanding pledge balances are reminded that the campaign ends November 30th. Thank you to all. World Marriage Day Celebration 34th Annual World Marriage Day will be on February 10th, 2:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Syracuse. The Most Eeverend Robert J. Cunningham will celebrate Mass and invite all couples in attendance to renew their commitment to Holy Matrimony. He will specially honor couples who will celebrate their 25th, 50th, and beyond 50th anniversary in If celebrating your 25th, 50th or 50+ Anniversary in 2019, please contact the parish office to register. All married couples and families are invited to attend! Lector Workbooks Lector Workbooks for the new liturgical year beginning December 2nd, are available in the sacristy. Lectors are urged to take a copy for their preparation when lecturing at Mass. Penance Service Pope John XXIII Parish will be joining Christ the King for an ADVENT Reconciliation Service on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:00 PM at Christ the King Parish. The annual Immaculata Award for a volunteer from Pope John XXIII will be given this year to Michael & Kathryn King. The award ceremony is at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Sunday, December 9th at 2:30 PM. Samaritan Center Service Opportunity Please take a Gift Tag and Return a Wrapped Present (with tag) By December 16th Merry Christmas From Your Human Development Committee There will be a meeting on Monday, December 10th in the Parish Center for anyone interested in service opportunities at the Samaritan Center. The parish is working with the Samaritan Center to provide volunteer opportunities as a group from the parish. The possibilities include preparing and serving a meal at the center on a weekend day. The frequency would depend upon the number of volunteers and the need at the center. Anyone interested should come to the meeting on the 10th. The center is now located at the former St. John the Evangelist Church in Syracuse. The center serves over 90 meals daily and significantly more on weekend days.
