As the seasons begin to change, the weather grows cool and the skies are sometimes filled with gray clouds. Know that there is always warmth, sunshine and a refuge from any storm within these walls and within the fellowship of our congregation. All are welcome here! Join us this evening for Bible Study at 6:30 p.m. We continue the study of the book of Acts.
2 Congratulations to Wayne & Shirley Wieberdink on their 60 th Wedding Anniversary. Refreshments will be served after church in honor of the event. Cards can be put in the wrapped box outside of Debbie s office. We would like to thank Nicole Velske for her special music this morning during the worship service. Today the mission offering will be received for Mike & Ann Prom with Headwaters Christian Youth. Our pledged amount is $2,500. Please give generously! Elder/Deacon Nominations: September begins our Elder/Deacon nomination process which starts with members participating in a time of self-examination. A letter explaining the nomination process has been placed in your church mailbox. Please read it carefully and prayerfully consider serving on Consistory. If you must excuse yourself from being nominated for either or both of the offices of Elder or Deacon, you must contact Pastor Ron or one of the Elders in writing by September 28 th. The nomination list and ballots will be distributed the first week in October. The congregation wishes to express Christian sympathy to Dolly Debbink (sister-in-law), Jeff & Connie Debbink (Aunt) and other family and friends of Harriet Debbink upon her death on Wednesday, September 10 th. Choir The choir will sing on the first and second Sundays of the month starting in October. Practice meetings will be on the last Monday of the month, starting September 29. Please join the fun and praise of our music ministry! Do you want to spread the good news of salvation? Do you enjoy singing praise to God? Then consider joining the Pine Haven Men s Chorus. Our season will begin with the kick-off dinner on Thursday, September 25 in the Assisted Living Activity Room in Pine Haven Christian Communities. If you have questions contact Bob Caljouw at (920) Cedar Grove Area Food Pantry update - Thanks to many generous donations, 30 families were served in September! The pantry will be open again on Thursday, October 9th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Faith Reformed Church (243 S 4th St, Cedar Grove). If you know of anyone who could benefit from the food pantry, please let them know about it. If anyone is interested in donating, right now we are low on cereal, canned fruit, pasta sauce, and paper products. (Please check the expiration dates on the food you donate.) *Note that the location of the donation bins has been moved to the drawers under the mailboxes.* Thank you!
