Antioch Board of Trustees THE SOUVENIR JOURNAL COMMITTEE NEEDS YOUR PICTURES: The 125 TH Anniversary Committee is now looking to collect pictures of past activities at Antioch, and, the older, the better! VALOR: Valor is a nonprofit organization started in 2016 that encourages Black millennials and generation Z to always strive for greatness through expressing their individuality. Also, Valor encourages the youth to find creative ways on how to give back to the community. FOR THE ALZHEIMER S JOURNEY -- HELP, ORGANIZATION, PREPARATION & EDUCATION FOR THE ROAD AHEAD: Author Carol B. Amos takes you through the 11 1/2 years she and her two brothers took with their 94-year old mother who succumbed to the disease in She engages the reader in the problem-solving process they experienced through s to each other, and her communities of caregivers, as their mother experienced different stages of Alzheimer s. Get an in-depth understanding of the effects the disease has on the patient and caregiver, plus, learn supportive ways to respond to ongoing challenges while enabling the patient to live with dignity, and even joy.
