Reflections from Recruitment Director, Russ Balsman Did you know? The US, once the global leader in production of college graduates, is losing ground to emerging nations like South Korea and China. About 40% of Americans have college degrees, that figure has not changed in decades. Unfortunately, that s not good enough to lead the world anymore. While the US stagnates in its college participation rate, young people in countries like Korea or Russia, where higher education once was rare, are flocking to campuses. These days, a college education rate of 40% means the US ranks 12th out of the top 36 countries ranked by OECD Is the US Falling Behind in Higher Education by Mary Flannery NEA Today 4
