Classical Music Congratulations Dr. Naylor! You Rock! Dr. Craig Naylor is a finalist for a very prestigious award known as "The American Prize." This award is given for excellence in Band/Wind Ensemble original compositions. He is one of 10 finalists in the professional division, selected from hundreds (maybe more) of composers from across the United States. His piece is entitled "Kaia!" Lutheran Schools Week Celebration At Trinity, Jesus is the heart of our students, our staff and faculty, and the mission of our church to support children and families knowing Jesus. We pray as these students grow they will share Jesus with their family, with their friends, and carry on a legacy of knowing Jesus throughout their life. Last week students celebrated through the fun, the joy, and blessing of attending a Lutheran School. As parents, it requires sacrifice to send our children to a private school; a financial sacrifice and a sacrifice of time. This wise investment into a Classical Christian education at

As I ponder, I remember and give thanks for my Pastor and for many teachers I had at Trinity Lutheran School growing up. I thank God for Mr.

I thank God for previous generations who sacrificed and invested to bring the Word of God to students and families here at Trinity. As I ponder, I remember and give thanks for my Pastor and for many teachers I had at Trinity Lutheran School growing up. I thank God for Mr. Ludwig, my principal and camp director, who shared the love of Jesus with me and hundreds of children in many ways over the years and for my professors at Concordia University. this last Sunday What a joyous celebration last Sunday of Lutheran Schools Week to worship together with our Trinity families. We can rejoice and be thankful for the freedom and the opportunity we have to send our children to a Lutheran School in the United States. We ask the Lord to continue to strengthen our faculty and staff with encouragement and enthusiasm to share His Word every day and that we can model grace to one another in our homes. God s peace and blessing be upon you. AMEN Pre-Kindergarten Class Clips Galatians 6:2, Bear one another s burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ! I will be attending a Stephen Ministry Leaders conference February 4-10 in Anaheim, CA. Stephen Ministry is a complete system of one-on-one Christian care to hurting people in and around the church and community. Topics include caring for those sick, ill, hospitalized, and homebound. Other topics covered deal with divorce, grief, job loss and death of loved ones and family members and the art of listening. Training will be available at Trinity Lutheran Church through a 50 hour initial training curriculum starting in March. The new high school tuition is proposed to be the most affordable base tuition in the valley. NOTE: The high school class itself has not been fully approved until a thorough review is completed; rather, the High School Pilot Class has been added to the TLS Long Range Strategic Plan. The new program would partner with another accredited LCMS Lutheran High School in the Classical Tradition, creating a much needed, more affordable Christian Private High School option in the valley. The TLS Board of Education will review a proposal that was prayerfully submitted by Mrs. Elizagaray, director of curriculum and assessment, and Mrs. Roberts, principal.
