We ve taken refuge in you, Lord. Who can rescue us from the grip of the wrongdoer? We plead our case to you, Lord. Is there any place we can run to escape the spiritual dangers that surround us? The Lord is our rock and our refuge. Let us life up our praise as we celebrate the deliverance found only in the Lord. * Opening Prayer (1 Corinthians 13) God of hope and love, let your love shine upon us this day. Let your patience and kindness flow through us, inspiring us to new depths of love and hope. Transform our love, that we might overcome envy and resentment, and rejoice in justice and righteousness. 4 Super Bowl Sub Sale - It is here! This is the last Sunday to order your Super Bowl Subs from our Youth!!! The subs are $6.00 each and include a brownie and a Peppermint Patty. Subs will be ready for pick up at church on Sunday morning - February 7 th. Please place your order by signing up with a member of the FUMC Youth Group or by signing an order form on one of the posters hanging around the Church. This is the Youth s largest fund-raiser of the year. The money raised is used for the Youth s summer mission trip. Thank you in advance for participating in this delicious fund-raiser!!! Questions? Your donated clothing will be given to PORT for the homeless. 5 th Sunday Luncheon: After church today please join us for lunch (chicken supreme, herrb rice, green beans, salad, rolls and assorted desserts). The luncheon is a fundraiser, sponsored by Missions. Profits will help support First United Methodist Church s covenant relationship with our missionary in Cambodia, Esther Karimi Gitobu. If you are unable to eat with us, take-out will be available. PORT: Volunteers are needed to help with PORT at Hilton Baptist Church on February 14 th. This will be our last PORT for the winter.
