2 Urgent Need A Parishioner from Forest City is looking for someone to take her to Mason City, Mercy Hospital for Dialysis on Saturday mornings. Any volunteers, please contact Parish life - Patti Kawalek at The Knights of Columbus, Garner, will collect donations for the intellectually challenged (known as the Tootsie Roll Drive) after Mass on the following dates: * Saturday August 26, after the 4:00 PM Mass in Duncan. * Sunday August 27, after the 10:00 AM Mass in Garner. MONTH 5 Developing baby Mommy felt me kick today! Spiritual Adoption Program Your spiritually adopted baby weights over one pound now, and his mother can feel his movement. Before this time, he was too small for her to feel. Although he swam with ease in the watery world, he needed to be big and strong enough to kick hard against the outside wall and dent it - - the inside wall of the uterus has little feeling. We are mid-way through the pregnancy now. Your prayers have helped your baby s mother continue with her pregnancy and seek the help she needs. As my recovery from heart surgery continues, I want to express thanks for all the prayers, cards, and support I have received. I can t answer each card or contact individually, so please accept this Group thank you! I will be recovering over the next twelve weeks with rehab at the Britt hospital. Continue to pray for me! I will begin some Masses at the end of September and also will start my fall bible study at the same time. This year the bible study will be on the Gospel of John. It will be only ten weeks long starting on the week of September 25, and ending in December with weeks off for All Saints Day and Thanksgiving. I encourage all Cluster members to prayerfully consider taking this study. You don t have to have taken past studies to take this one. Also, it is much shorter than past studies, so is an easier commitment. The study will be offered on Monday night at Duncan, Tuesday night at Forest City and Thursday afternoon at Garner. You just have to attend one session each week. Please join us!. Interested in becoming Catholic? Know someone who is? The workshop will take place at St. Gabriel, Reinbeck on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9 AM to 4 PM. 5 Faith Formation Happenings Cluster Faith Formation Commission Mission Statement. We are Called - Formed - Sent We respond to God s Call. We promote Life-long Faith Formation through prayer, worship & learning. We are sent forth to tell the story of God in our lives. Why be a Catechist? Because JESUS Needs YOU To teach CHILDREN About Him Upcoming Events: 8/27/17 Sunday MC-NH Cathechist Inservice, Holy Family, Mason City, 5:00 PM. Meal followed by speakers and a Learning Mass with Fr. Brian Dellaert & Fr. Gary Mayer. Come learn why we do what we do at Mass. 8/30/17 Wednesday Cluster In-Service, Majopa Conference Center, Forest City, 6:00 PM. Britt Sunday School will be changing to the Children s Liturgy of the Word format beginning this year. During Children s Liturgy, young children are dismissed prior to the Readings at Sunday Mass and go to a separate room where adult volunteers share the Readings with them on a simpler level. Children and volunteers return to Mass at the Offertory. Parishioner volunteers are welcome and needed. A minimum of two volunteers are needed each Sunday. Training and materials will be provided. If you would like to volunteer for this ministry to the children of St. Patrick s, Britt, please contact the Cluster Faith Formation Office or Louise Louw at the Britt office What a wonderful way to share God s Word with our young people! Catechists are needed: (as of 8/14/17) in All Parishes.
