You ll be able to move from station to station and participate as you wish in communion, foot washing, candle lighting, creating a communal art project, plus individual prayer. And then you ll observe the dramatic stripping of the altar, which includes the removal of all the worship appointments, candles, banners, and ultimately the removal of the stoles of the pastors. It s a zany and clever creation of our capital appeal events team. Each event features a fancy dinner, a capital appeal story, and a fun show. 1. Sun., May 6, 5:30 pm: Batman Forever Lutheran Visit the labyrinth in Fellowship Hall during Holy Week this year. Travel its twists and turns as a means to pray and reflect on the road to Easter Sunday. Member Wayne Fettro is the artist who painted Jesus on the Cross, shown here, and donated this work of art to Trinity. Thank you, Wayne! 4 As you look for parking spots on Sunday mornings, please do not park in the lot at About Weddings, 1940 Market Street across from Trinity. The spaces there are paid for by residents and tenants and are thus for their use only! Thank you. PARTY! Happy 120th Birthday, Trinity! Celebrate with us on Sunday, April 22, 9:30-11:00 am. All are invited to celebrate Trinity's birthday by participating in a building-wide adventure. Several stops along the way will engage folks in dreaming about our plans for future expansion and renovation. This is your chance to celebrate how far we've come and help us THINK BIG about our future. Volunteers will be stationed at each stop on the adventure to explain the vision and help people complete the activities. Cake, decorations, games, and more will help us all celebrate this very special day! DO NOT MISS THIS EXTRA-SPECIAL EVENT! The Youth Group will hold our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 5 and under NEXT Saturday, March 31, at 9:00 am. Meet in the Gathering Space and don't forget your Easter Baskets! Come out for prizes, activities, and refreshments, as well as professional pictures with the Easter Bunny. Come out rain or shine to this morning of free family fun. If you have any questions, call Peter Fox at ext Food bank. Each Sunday of every month food can be brought to the church for the Ecumenical Food Pantry. Please place your non-perishable food items in the food box in the Collection Closet in the Gathering Space. Some needed items are soup, noodles, baked beans, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, baby food, powdered milk, tea bags, canned juice, and canned meats. 5 Registration is now open for Lutheran Summer Camps! And remember All children who are Trinity members may receive one scholarship per summer, $100 for a full week of camp and $50 for a half week of camp (including Family Camp). Simply enter Trinity Lutheran Church Camp Hill in the box that asks for church membership, then deduct the appropriate amount from your total cost. Trinity will be sent an invoice to pay for the scholarships that are requested. March art display. Helen Bender Bigelow ( ) was a self-taught painter and loved creating beautiful works of art from common, ordinary things she found discarded by others. A Trinity member for 58 years, she was a Chancel Choir member, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, Trinity Tutor, landscape gardener, and more. She also worked for more than 25 years as a Contact Helpline volunteer. She was devoted to her family and is survived by her husband of 69 years, three children, eight grandchildren, fifteen greatgrandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Shop at Amazon? 6 Boy Scout Troop 51 s Annual Easter Flower Sale is in our lower parking lot on Thursday, March 29, through Saturday, March 31. There s a huge selection of beautiful flowers to create the perfect gift or to brighten up your garden: tulips, daffodils, lilies, hyacinths, spring mums, primrose, ranunculus, gerbera daisies, hanging baskets, bowl planters, and specialty items such as tea cup and watering can planters. The Ecumenical Food Pantry is holding its spring theatre party in support of its mission of providing emergency food help to those in need in the greater Harrisburg area. Please join us as Theatre Harrisburg presents Hairspray on Sunday, April 29, at 2:00 pm at the Whitaker Center, 222 Market Street, Harrisburg. Hairspray is a family-friendly musical piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance, and song. Tickets are $35 for front orchestra seating, and must be purchased through the church

Sign up in the Gathering Space to keep the March 30 Good Friday Prayer Vigil chain unbroken. The 20-minute slots run from 9 am 3 pm; sign up for one segment or more. The booklet next to the sign-up board explains how to participate. Our Men of Trinity sponsor the Vigil. They note that, even if you don t sign up to participate here, you can still take a copy of the booklet and use it as a prayer guide at home. It's almost here!! Issac's Community Night Fundraiser is on Wednesday, April 11, from 10 am 9 pm. PLEASE note the time change. For this event, you are invited to dine at Isaac's in the Lemoyne Plaza; when you pay, just turn in a filled-out "Community Night" flyer with your bill. Isaac's will donate 25 percent to help send our Sr. High YG to the 2018 ELCA National Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas this coming summer. It's a win-win with good food and YG support! The "Community Night" flyer is available at our church display in the Gathering Space or right outside the YG room on the second floor. Please spread the word! Pick up several flyers and get them out to all friends and family. P.S. This works for take-out orders, too! Sr. High Movie Night is THIS Sunday, March 25, from 6-8:30 pm in the YG room (236)! Conte Wealth Associates (CWA) and Myers-Harner Funeral Home say we can use their parking lots on Sundays and other times when their lots are not in use. CWA s 20 spaces are behind its building at 2009 Market Street (use the access alley off 21st Street by West Shore Baptist), and the funeral home s 26 spaces are at 1903 Market (please don t park in front of the garage doors).
