4 DAILY PRAYER GUIDE 1. MALAYSIA a. The Pakatan Harapan Government presented its maiden 2019 Budget last Friday, with focus in three areas: implementing institutional reforms, ensuring socioeconomic wellbeing of Malaysians and fostering an entrepreneurial economy. Pray that the allocations of funds are well distributed and spent prudently for the benefits of the targeted groups. b. Pray for the Lord s hand be upon Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as prime minister, and cause him to have favour with all the cabinet ministers to work harmoniously as a united team to serve the nation with integrity and accountability. c. Pray that the government will continue to carry out the institutional reforms of the three branches of administration, while upholding multiculturalism and inclusiveness in practices and governance. d. Pray for all the state governments to be on the alert to face the coming rainy season. Pray to the Lord of the weather for His restraining hand to prevent any excessive flooding and landslides that cause damages to properties and loss of lives. 2. Yemeni War a. The United States and other world powers have called for a ceasefire and peace talks in Yemen. i. Pray that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates which are in a US-based coalition fighting Syiah Houthi rebels will agree for talks with the Houthis that will lead to peace and prevent the destruction of the country. b. The four-year war has resulted in more than 22 million people three quarters of the population are in need of food aid and protection. Nearly half of all children aged between 6 months and 5 years are chronically malnourished and every 10 minutes a child under 5 years old dies of preventable causes. i. Pray for divine intervention to stop the war and for more humanitarian aid to reach the people in needs. 3. CGMC AND MINISTRIES a. Pray for cell groups that will be carrying out our Christmas evangelistic events IBHFC to invite more guests to come and for the message of Christmas to be made known. b. Uphold all those who are taking part in the Christmas Musical for protection and good health including their loved ones as they make preparation for it. 5 SERMON OUTLINE WAR WITH THE AMALEKITES SCRIPTURE TEXT : EXODUS: 17: The Amalekites Attack The Israelites v 8 V 8, The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. See Deuteronomy 25:17-18 a. We have spiritual battles to fight in our Christian life. 2. The Israelites Respond With A Strange Warfare vv 9-13 V 9b, tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hands. b. We need to exercise prayer in our spiritual warfare. c. We need to work corporately in a team. 3. God Promises To Wipe Out The Amalekites v V 14, Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered [memorial] because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.
