3 THE INEXPRESSIBLE MYSTERY The God of the universe is mysterious. Science has not been able to solve the mystery of how the universe came into being or explain exactly what continues to give it creative energy and masterful design. No religion asserts that it has found words to name fully the ineffable mystery of God, for no matter what name we use, God always transcends our limited ability to understand. God is a mystery to be believed, not known. And yet, we Christians believe that our name for God best expresses that inexpressible mystery: God is the Most Holy Trinity of three persons united in a communion of love, pouring forth that creative, saving, sanctifying love into the world. Today s scriptures celebrate the mystery of the Trinity and give us clues for living that mystery in our lives. Summer Mass Schedule The 12:05 weekday Mass has concluded for the months of June, July, August and September and will resume on Monday, October 2 nd. The Sunday 11:45 a.m. Mass will conclude on June 25 th for the summer months of July & August and will resume on Sunday, September 3 rd. Now it s even easier to use your to give to the church. Serving in Our Military With gratitude, we remember our veterans and we also pray for the safe return of our loved ones who now serve us faithfully both here and in foreign lands. As a visible reminder of their sacrifice and our love, we would like to begin publishing a prayer list of the men and women who are actively serving. This list will be published regularly in the bulletin.
