TRAIL PLEASE RSVP TO TERRI AT (EXT. 10) IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD With summer in full swing, we would like to remind everyone that we should dress and act appropriately in the presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament. It is something which we often take for granted, but even the wording on some T-shirts can be inappropriate attire for the Eucharist. And while socializing after Mass is always a good thing, it is important that we retain a respectful mood and tone. Whenever walking directly past the Blessed Sacrament, it is proper to genuflect, except at Communion time when the Eucharist is within you. If you cannot genuflect, a simple bow is appropriate. Next weekend you will find grocery sacks hanging on the pews. If you would like to participate, take a sack home and fill it with your nonperishable contributions. One way to do this would be to take advantage of grocers BOGO offers as you shop for yourself. The sacks are rather large so it s alright if you are unable to fill one completely. Return the sack to the collection area in the church vestibule on June or The food will then be delivered to the Back Mountain Food Bank. All food stays local. For additional information, please contact Michelle Pilch at Monetary donations are accepted and checks should be made out to the Back Mountain Food Pantry. BAPTISMAL PREPARATION: The next Baptismal Preparation Class for expectant parents will be held on Tuesday, August 7th, at 6:30PM in the rectory basement. Most parents prefer to attend this mandatory session prior to the birth of their child. Mr. Gillis 8th grade Confirmation class recently decided to do a special class service project. Through their hard work and dedication we raised enough money to buy a cow through Heifer International, a charity which provides livestock to poor families in developing countries. To many poor farmers, a cow is considered a prized possession, and their donation will greatly help sustain a family for years to come. Great work guys and gals!
