Thank you for your generosity. From the School Principal Our community celebrated and honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this past Thursday with a prayer service led by the student council. A BIG thank you to Mr. Walton, who coordinated the service and Mrs. Barber who worked with her 4th grade class on their excellent spoken word presentation. In addition, our 2nd grade class honored Dr. King with a song for the community this morning. The words spoken and presentation given by our students are a reminder that we must work for peace as well as cherish the gifts we give each other as a community. Diana Reyes Our New Parishioners 13th Annual Walk for Life St. John parishioners attended a mass at St. Mary Cathedral prior to the rally at San Francisco City Hall. The mile walk down Market St. followed and were met by a cheering crowd at Justin Hermann Plaza. The walk lasted an hour under clear sky. 4 January 29, 2017 Vacation Bible Day Camp Happy Lunar New Year to all our Parishioners! St. John The Baptist Church 16th Annual Vacation Bible Day Camp will be held June 26-30th, Our School Gym will be transformed into an underwater experience for "Deep Sea Discovery". All Day Campers are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m for only $170, Morning only Campers are 9 a.m.-12 noon For $70. Tad Pool PreSchool is for 3-5 year olds who haven't started kindergarten. The same time and fees apply. Kids enjoy; Skits & songs, crafts & science, snacks & games, special guests & service projects, new friends and so much more! First Saturday Charismatic Service The charismatic praise and worship, adoration and benediction will be at 7pm this coming Saturday, February 4. Mark your calendars & set the date for the Coolest week of the Summer! On-line registration w ill be available in March: Wednesday Scripture Study On February 1 at 7:30pm, the session s topic on Luke s gospel is about Jesus parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man. The study points out one of St.John Paul s homily at Yankee Stadium on Oct. 2, 1979 on 1Peter1:19 where by the precious blood of Christ both man was made in the image and likeness of God and both equally redeemed by Christ.
