2 PARISH LIFE ST. CLARE JOINT FUNERAL CHOIR The death of loved ones and neighbors is a special time of gathering, remembering, and singing the praises of our God who has risen from the dead and given us hope. A new St. Clare Joint Funeral Choir is being formed to help enhance these special times. Parishioners from all areas of St. Clare are invited to be a part of this new group. There will be a social and practice on Tuesday, May 8 th, 6:30-8pm at St. Clare School in Wrightstown. Some light food will be provided and we ll have a first run through as a new group. If you d like to be a part of the choir, but can t make it on the 8 th, no worries! Please contact Theresa at treynders@stclareagw.org or call the Parish Office at (920) to get your name on our contact list. At 11:30am, a cook-out lunch will be provided for all volunteers at the Greenleaf campus. 4 SCHOOL NEWS, DISCIPLESHIP FORMATION, YOUTH MINISTRY St Clare School News Band Teacher Position Open St. Clare School is looking for a volunteer to teach band lessons to students in Grades 5-8 for the remainder of this school year. If you or someone you know would be able and willing to help out our band program, please call the principal, Lisa Gruber. ( ) Faith. Family. Future. St. Clare Catholic School offers a rigorous academic program which includes physical education, art and general music classes to students in Grades 4K-8. In addition, starting in Grade 5, students are able to join band. Sixth, seventh and eighth graders have Spanish class weekly. St. Clare students are able to be involved in extracurricular sports teams through the Village of Wrightstown and the Wrightstown public school district. Other opportunities St. Clare students have are Forensics, Math Bowl and being Altar Servers for weekly Mass. Please call the school office if you would like a tour and/or more information about our awesome Catholic school! St. Clare School offers 3K and 4K classes, where children will gain social and emotional skills, fine motor skills and kindergarten readiness skills. Our Catholic faith based programs provide an environment of love and caring. We offer a variety of options for families, including full day 4K. Annual Flower Sale: Don t forget to order your flowers to help fund our Youth Ministry programs. All orders are due this Wednesday, May 2nd. Flowers will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, May 9th. Take Stock in Youth: Our annual Stock Sale kicks off this weekend. See the insert to purchase Stock in our Youth. Your stock purchase helps to fund our youth ministry programs including the Steubenville Pilgrimage and events with the Spiritus team. Your donations and support are appreciated. Totus Tuus Information Registrations are now available for this summer s Totus Tuus program. Here are the answers to a few questions: Program times: Grade School program (Grades 1-6) will take place from Monday, June 25th - Friday, June 29th, from 12:45-5:30pm, in Greenleaf. Middle and High School program (Grades 7-12) will take place Sunday, June 24th-Thursday, June 28th, from 7:00-9:00pm, in Greenleaf. Bussing will only be available for children participating in the summer school program, at the Wrightstown public schools to St. Clare in Greenleaf. Parents are responsible for transporting their children if they are not registered for the summer school program and are responsible for pick up at the end of each day s session. Attendance: It is recommended that children/youth participate each day however, we understand that sometimes other things are on the calendar if you need to leave early one day or miss a day because of previous appointments, just let us know ahead of time. Parents are strongly encouraged to join us each day of the program for Mass at 4:30pm in Greenleaf. Volunteers/Donations Needed: We will need help with lunch and dinner for the team, hosting team members during the week of the program, help with snack prep and clean-up and generally assistance during the program times. Donations are also need to help underwrite the cost of the program. Cost is $20 for children in the grade school program and $15 for the high school program this includes a Totus Tuus t-shirt.
