2 A message from Deacon Alex My sisters and brothers, as we sele into the New Year, the gratude I experienced over the Christmas Season stays with me. One of the abundant blessings in my life has been the gi of Crosier Religious Life. With much trust and trepidaon, I responded to God s call to Crosier Religious Life seven years ago in much Following the Rule of St. Augusne, our Crosier life is based on three pillars service. We live in community, promong the common good while respecng each other. We gather five mes a day to pray as a community, living out our Crosier charism to foster the liturgy of the Church: both With approximately 350 members worldwide (Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Democrac Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, and Brazil), the Crosier Order maintains two communies in the United States in Onamia, Minnesota, and Phoenix, Arizona. We are the only religious community with naonal headquarters in the Alzheimer s paents and their families; inmates in local jails; veterans; immigrants desiring cizenship; and young adult Lanos seeking spiritual community. In addion to daily Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours, we offer other pastoral ministries such as spiritual direcon, retreats, Bible study, reconciliaon, and parish An essenal element of our charism is expressed in our name, the Order of the Holy Cross. Our spirituality of the Cross is rooted in the suffering, death, and resurrecon of Jesus (the Paschal Mystery). We recognize that there is much suffering and pain in the world, but we also believe the resurrecon of Jesus guarantees that in I delight to do your will, O my God.
