The son of a parishioner is looking for home health care for his mother who is home from rehab. He is seeking a CNA who might be interested in picking up some hours to provide home care. He has some hours already covered and needs other people to fill in shifts. If you or anyone you know might be interested, please call Allen at (262) to discuss the needs he is trying to fill so his mother can remain in her home. For prayer requests, contact Theresa Peavler (414) or Pat Wolnik (262) A Lenten Call to Serve - During this Lenten season, please strongly consider offering your service to the parishioners of St. Anthony by answering your call to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. This ministry is very humbling and rewarding. There is minimal preparation/training involved and you serve when you are already attending Mass. May God bless you during this Lenten season and always. In Union With Christ Please remember Rose Tarman & Herbert Scholbe who recently passed away, and their family members, in your prayers. May they find peace in their shared lives with God and their families find peace and joy in loving memories. May we, as parishioners, support them with our prayers. If you have any palms left from last year, please bring them to church so they can be burned at the Holy Saturday Vigil Mass. Place them in the box marked palms found in the Gathering Space by the weekend of Palm Sunday. Thank you.

3 Our Gifts, God s Gifts Our lives are permeated with the gifts God has given to us. How we use these gifts is called Stewardship. In the Bishops Pastoral Letter on Stewardship, they define Stewardship as, One who receives God s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends to them in a responsible and accountable manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them to the Lord. If we respond with this conviction, our lives will change, that is, if daily we become aware of how we are a steward of God s gifts. This transformational spirit is beginning at St. Anthony. There is an increase in Mass attendance, in weekly giving, and in Capital Campaign pledges; enough are coming in for us to begin the undertaking of the much needed parking lot improvement. Stewardship is a way of life, a way we use God s gifts everyday. Pope Francis asks each of us during this Lenten Season to re-create ourselves to parish life. How will you? The Stewardship Committee Fish Fry Baking - For those of you who are new to the parish, or aren t aware we have a fish fry once or twice a month, we ask parishioners to bake desserts for our dine-in events. Therefore, on occasion, you may get a phone call to donate a delicious dessert. For March 23rd, parishioners with last names ranging from TAR-Z, will be called. For the May 4th event, parishioners with names C-H will be called. PRAY THE LABYRINTH ST. AGNES PARISH, BUTLER This method of meditative prayer will be available in Kemp Hall March 9 (6:30-8:30 PM), March 10 (8:00 AM - 9:00 PM), March 11 (12:00-9:00 PM) and March (7:30-11:00 AM and 2:00-9:00 PM). Please enter through the front entrance by the lobby. A Labyrinth is a prayer walk. Meditative music will be playing to help you to walk in a prayerful and reflective way. Resource materials will also be available for you, if you have never experienced this type of prayer before. As you enter the Labyrinth, you begin the first of 3 stages of your walk: 1. Purgation. This is a time for releasing, letting go of the details of your life, the cares and concerns that keep you distracted and stressed. 2. Illumination. As you reach the center, you are open to the stage of Illumination. Stay in the Center as long as you wish. Draw the Holy Spirit into the center of your life. 3. Union. As you prepare to leave the Labyrinth, take time for gratitude and for integrating this experience into your life. This part of the walk is the path of Union, joining God, bringing back to the world a renewed vision or a refreshed spirit. Spend some time outside the Labyrinth in reflection and meditation before you leave. Greg Plata, OFM, newly appointed Vocation Director for the Franciscans serving in the State of Wisconsin: We are holding a discernment Triduum retreat this year and invite men ages to attend. Sadly, declining vocation numbers have caused us to relinquish many parishes throughout Wisconsin, but I believe there are still a number of young men out there who may be attracted to our way of life. It is everyone s hope that, no matter if a vocation is to diocesan priesthood or religious life, our Catholic community, especially in Wisconsin, benefits.

Our Mission Statement The Respect Life Committee is an organization formed to help our parish community in its missionary efforts to promote the Gospel of Life. While promoting the Sanctity of Life, we will work in harmony with the goals of our Bishop and our local diocesan Respect Life office. Guest speaker Rachel Monaco-Wilcox will outline the prevalence of trafficking here and how citizens can make a difference.
