2 PASTOR S DESK JOINING THE COMPANY OF BELIEVERS What will help you to believe? Today s scripture readings tell of faith and doubt. They offer stories recorded to help you believe, as the passage from John s Gospel (20:31) remarks today. There is an urgency about this. On this Second Sunday of Easter we are challenged to join the company of believers countless men and women who witnessed the power of the apostles faith. There is no doubt that this power comes from Jesus Christ. The second reading, from the book of Revelation, reports John s mystical vision of the Son of Man, who proclaims, Once I was dead, but now I live (Revelation 1:18). The Gospel gathers everyone but Thomas to see the Risen Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit from him. Like Thomas, we who have come along later must have faith so that we can have life. SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH Come and join us this week as we begin our next video based series from Formed.com. We will be discussing Divine Mercy: The Second Greatest Story Ever Told. PIUS X Glorious Pope of the Eucharist, Saint Pius X, you sought "to restore all things in Christ." Obtain for me a true love of Jesus so that I may live only for Him. Help me to acquire a lively fervor and a sincere will to strive for sanctity of life, and that I may avail myself of the riches of the Holy Eucharist in sacrifice and sacrament. By your love for Mary, mother and queen of all, inflame my heart with tender devotion to her. Blessed model of the priesthood, obtain for us holy, dedicated priests, and increase vocations to the religious life. Dispel confusion and hatred and anxiety, and incline our hearts to peace and concord so that all nations will place themselves under the sweet reign of Christ. Amen. Saint Pius X, pray for us.

Dear Parishioners, NEW CLERGY APPOINTMENTS FOR THE ARCHDIOCESE OF SAN ANTONIO On Tuesday March 22, 2016 at the Clergy Retreat: Chrism Day of Reflection at the Cathedral, Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, M.Sp.S. officially announced the clergy appointments for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Archbishop Gustavo appointed Rev. Francis McHugh as pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church-Honey Creek effectively beginning on July 1, St. Joseph-Honey Creek is located at Hwy. 46 West, Spring Branch, TX Fr. Francis would like to thank everyone for all your prayers and your support for his time serving you here at St. Pius X. Archbishop Gustavo appointed Rev. Patrick O Brien as pastor of St. Pius X effectively beginning on July 1, Please welcome Fr. Pat to our community as pastor. Please continue praying for Fr. The PCCW is an organization of women from the parish who meet monthly to establish a relationship among the members of our parish family and to further spiritual and material undertakings recommended by the pastor. St. Pius X Legion of Mary Tessera invites all devoted hearts to join in the prayer of the Rosary every Sunday at the Grotto following the 8:00 AM Mass beginning on April 10, This will take place every week, weather permitting. We invite all existing auxiliary members and welcome new members whose heart inspires them with the desire to lead us in the prayer of the Rosary with the recitation of the beautiful mysteries contained within.
