Things are always busy around here and we are looking for volunteers to help us with many different tasks and ministries. This is a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners and help the church at the same time! For example: We are looking for more ushers either for the winter or year-round. We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to host Sunday coffee on a rotating basis, who would like to help with funeral luncheon hospitality or hospitality for any of the many events in our parish during the year. 4 We welcome Fr. Jim Vick again this year. Fr. Jim is from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and will be with us for a few weeks while Fr. Tony visits his family in Ireland. This weekend we also welcome Father Raju Matthew Panakai from India. Fr. Matthew will be making an appeal for the Mission Projects of the Missionaries of Compassion. Join Fr. 5 The Knights of Columbus, St. Peter s Parish and the Youth Group are winding down their fund raiser for the well in Ghana, West Africa. The Knights and the Youth Group have had many events this year to help Msgr. Tony Boahen Kyereme in bringing a well to his area. We are close to having the full amount. If you would like to help with this wonderful endeavor, just drop a check clearly marked for the well in the collection, give to any Knight or bring to the office. Thank you for your help! Thank you for all the help. God bless! The second Sunday of each month is Loaves and Fishes Sunday that weekend there will be a basket near the altar for your food donations. The rest of the time, the basket is in the vestibule, and your donations are greatly appreciated any time! Thank you! MOST NEEDED ITEMS: canned vegetables or fruits, beans, tuna. HELP!!! Volunteers are needed for the summer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You can donate 3 hours per week or substitute for our regular staff members who are on vacation. 6 Adoration of Blessed Sacrament Join the choir for the summer! Quite a few of our choir members are winter residents and have left for the summer. We would love to have some more voices and/or musicians to help us out for the summer adults or teens are welcome. Experience the loving presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament at Eucharistic Adoration, following the 8 AM Mass on Tuesdays. The Divine Mercy chaplet is prayed at 11:30. Benediction is at noon. There is a need for someone to cover the 10:00-11:00 am time slot during the Summer for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Stained Glass Studio has designed a Hurricane Cross that may be special ordered. It is a cross superimposed with a wind blown palm tree and comes with a copy of the Prayer for Protection from Hurricanes that appears in the bulletin all during Hurricane season. Come into the Stained Glass studio on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 10am & 2pm and learn to make your own stained glass creations, or help work on one of our projects. Beginners and experienced glass workers are welcome.
